  1. 6-28, what is this, tennis? :D) Maybe the Bears should go to a spread offense since they have had so many problems with finding a QB, I'd like to see how it would work in the pros. First order of business there would be to fire Turner, because he wouldn't run it. That would be a good start no matter what offense you would want to run.
  2. Weren't people just posting a little while ago about Z being the third best pitcher on the team? If he's out it'll be a hit but the team will still be very good as long as what has been going well stays that way.
  3. Do season ticket holders get a shot at these first or do they have to apply as well? I see a lot of tickets going on stubhub and e-bay.

  5. That was post 669 for you Knyption.
  6. So now the Cubs are baseballs version of the Patriots?
  7. Maybe not the worst but if Bavasi check Choo's OPS in last 30 days(5th place 1.173 )and last 7 days( 1st place 1.794), he would scraching his head. The worst acquisiton? We'll see. Hey rook, nice to see you on again! Have you had a chance to see that young SS the Cubs just signed play? Hi! CuseCubFan69 , Yes I did. His name is Hak Joo, Lee( RThrow/L hitter, Agent: Chi Hoon Lee-former agent of Hee Seop Choi, ).He's a quite tall guy as a SS in here 187 cm. He has good speed to reaching the fisrt base and foot work as a SS. He once played as a pither/SS in middle school so, he has good shoulder too. All I can get his data is in high school championship series (27 G, 94AB, 32H,9RBI,17R,0.340 AVG). I heard that cubs scouter(If I,m correct,he was Steeve Willson)want his speed and good throwing arms to become a leadoff hitter as a SS not a power hitter. I can tell you that he's fast guy( data shows that 11 seconds to reach 100m) and good arms. It's depends on his stroke ability to survive in the minors http://c2image.channel2.co.kr/C2_IMAGE/ARTICLE/ATL_1839/183943_PG1_101.jpg Thanks for the info and sorry to sidetrack the thread Mike!
  8. That's going to be a very tough game for WVU. I bet they blow them out. It's a weird place to play and when we were good we struggled there. WVU usually has a problem with teams (USF) like this and I hope they put too much energy in the VTech game.
  9. I'm not going to read it and I'll wait until the movie comes out.

  11. I'm happy for you and jealous raisin. Robinson couldn't out coach a tackling dummy.
  12. I hope Lou woke up this morning without something in his bed that was bloody and expensive.
  13. Let's hope Z got the name right and isn't off to Wallyworld. This team has done very well with all the injuries they've had and guys have been picking up other guys all year. 15 days off might be the best thing for Z for this year and his career.
  14. That's going to be a very tough game for WVU.
  15. NOT IF I CAN HELP IT! SEC teams also play the Big Ten and Big East this year, so I'm sure there will be enough vitriol for all to share. A lot of good teams are playing each other out of conference so that should help give us a nice base to swing away!
  16. I think the SEC is usually overrated while the PAC10 is usually underrated but they both are good solid football conferences.
  17. Where did you get that cool North Dakota emblem?
  18. For me, it would depend upon the context of the sentence or paragraph. On a sports site I'd think Notre Dame and then No Decision (baseball) but if it were a political discussion I'd think North Dakota.
  19. Indeed - the others were fairly obvious choices. Didn't McGehee leave a good impression with Lou during ST? Maybe Lou just has a good memory (which would also explain the absense of Pie, Fuld et al.) I think he has a role for him that would work for the team, especially with the lack of a righty power guy off the bench.
  20. I'm embarrassed...what a terrible team, and what a downward spiral Louisville has taken the past couple of years. Ugh...might have to change my avatar. They looked lost and the receivers seemed like they were avoiding the ball, what's going on?
  21. Yeah, I doubt that's why Pie wasn't called up. IMO it's to keep giving him AB's until their season is over.
  22. It's going to be a retardedly high scoring game. I mean, how many deep balls did Illinois beat them with? im sure some of that was due to mizzou not expecting illinois to come out throwing like they did, but still, no excuse for a top-10 team to be getting thrown on like that by juice williams of all people. Our offense is going to be flat our ridiculous this year, but our defense has some important holes. I wouldn't be shocked to lose that game, but I also wouldn't be shocked to win it like 50-40. You have a tough game next week to worry about first. Do you know if it is a home and home series?
  23. Clemson is always overrated (nice win by Bama) and the ACC really struggled this past week Wake is by far the best team. Impressive blowout for USC at Virginia. Ohio State should worry less about Wells and the Heisman and get him out when they are up by 30 over a bad team. Cal over Mich St is going to be a helpful win later in the season for Cal because I think Mich St will get better. Georgia may have been in shock when they lost their very good defensive player but they didn't look like a #1 to me. LSU has to play no one from here on out of the SEC and who really knows if App St is really any good. Arizona might be a surprise team and Utah and BYU each have a good shot at going undefeated. Lots of good games to go and Rutgers will have a very tough Fresno St team to play and the Louisville/Kentucky game is always interesting. Tennessee vs UCLA will give one team a big name win. Penn State rolled and I wish they were playing Oregon instead of Oregon St but who knows that when the schedules are made. I went to bed w/Mizzou beating Illinois by 20 and the score ended up close for some reason. I really hope Nebraska has a good year to challenge them in the North along w/Kansas.
  24. how does he still have a job? i remember i made a poll about him and what level of football he was qualified to coach at. i believe that i voted "pop warner" I just laughed out loud when I realized he was still coaching Pitt. How does he still have a job? Beating WV? Yeah, I'm pretty sure he would've been fired if Pitt didn't win that game. Sheridan just looks awful. I'm loving every bit of this. Yep and since Rodriguez didn't make any good adjustments that game (choke), that and the guy can recruit for some reason. I didn't understand all the Pitt love by the "experts" as their are 5 teams in the BE better than they are and they have Wannstedt. I think the experts need a name team like Pitt even though many other teams are better.
  25. It's the same team I've seen for the past 5 years Jon. To put up those numbers against that defense is just what a Robinson team does. It's one thing to be slow and to be able to tackle but to be slow and not be able to tackle, well it's just the same old story. We've gone from beating (BE teams old and new) Nebraska, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Colorado (in their peak), Georgia, Clemson and LSU in the 80's and 90's to this.
