  1. I agree that they are a lot better than they were. I just look at the talent NE has now and add home field and they are going to be one tough and close to impossible team to knock out of the playoffs.
  2. I don't know, I seem to remember the Colts beating up on the Bears in the "elements". Any of the Top AFC teams would have done that. I'm talking about trying to win the AFC more than anything. Ouch. Your words. The cut like sharpened steel :P Sorry! I wish the AFC weren't so much better and maybe with Dallas and Green Bay getting better week by week the margin is closing. Sorry if the Green Bay part hurt just as much!
  3. I don't know, I seem to remember the Colts beating up on the Bears in the "elements". plus i don't think the chargers are exactly used to playing in poor conditions Their style of play is more conducive to that type of weather though. Plus, they don't play on turf.
  4. There is no doubt in my mind Hendry has a big trade lined up. He's putting together pieces and something big will happen.

  6. No. So he doesn't have the skills of Ichiro? Why in the world do these media guys compare them like that then? Well....since they are both Japanese let's just group them together. What player in MLB is he most like?
  7. That's a lot of players out. Funny how Manning throws 5 picks with a crappy team. He's a heck of a QB but you have to have talent around you. That's the thing about turf teams, when the elements turn bad you struggle a lot more than most teams. The Pats have a free ride if they play the Colts, especially if the weather turns bad. The thing I would be worried about if I was the Colts is that alot of these injuries sometimes linger, because you either hold a guy out until it's fully healed or else it becomes a "nagging" injury week to week because really, what injuries are there that don't require at least 3-4 weeks to fully, fully heal? That seems to me to be the issue. Once you get the injury bug, it's really hard to get rid of it. And I agree, if the Colts go to the Pats and the weather is bad, it's going to be really tough for them. That defense knows what it means to play in the cold & snow, the Colts can't be ready for that especially if there are lingering injuries. I'd love to see the Chargers beat the Pats in NE. But, with Turner as coach I doubt that would happen. Bellcheck (sp) could sleep through the game and out coach Turner. What hurts the Colts too is playing in that division. They need their players there to win and as you said, if they hurt and playing this will linger and imo I don't see them winning the AFC because of that. Plus, They need home field more than any other team.
  8. Indeed it does. Hey Raisin, how about that coach from Hawaii?

  10. If Tennessee loses out, Phil Fulmer may be looking for another job. And if Fulmer is, David Cutcliffe would also become available as well as John Chavis. I doubt we lose out, though. Wow....imagine Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska and UCLA all looking for coaches. The coaching carousel could be crazy. More than that. Possible openings: Michigan Tennessee Nebraska Texas A&M Arkansas UCLA Pitt? Arizona? This guy needs to be fired. Dennis Franchione has had nationally respected recruiting classes and has underperfomed every single year. He doesnt need to leave the state for recruits either so its not like its hard to recruit kids to stay in Texas. Wandstant and Turner (SD) went to the same school of coaching. Why either has a head coaching job is beyond me. On that we can agree. I think both are shining examples of what a Super Bowl ring can do for your career. I believe both got theirs as coordinators though; there's never been any evidence either guy is capable of effectively running a football team. They had all the Vikings picks for X amount of years and it would have been almost impossible to screw that up. Even Johnson never had success after leaving the Boys. Wandstant can actually recruit too and it still doesn't help.
  11. I'm waiting for Mr. Hendry to say "Well, we just signed Kaz and that contract made it so we can't go after ARod. Plus, I think we filled our hole that was left empty after the trade of Perez to the Tigers."
  12. They can't keep perspective in the what have you done for me lately/make a mountain out of a molehill theme they follow. Did Marvin play?

  14. You braggin' or complainin' ?? Maybe a little of both... :-" But seriously, it's making it a tough decision. Simple solution. Give me the Convention tickets and IMB the Cowboy tickets and this allows you to spend more time to spend with your family.
  15. Shhhhh....wrabitts.
  16. Looking at that if ever there was a need for a playoff this year would be it.

  18. You're more than welcome to have Robinson. What about Marra?
  19. Wow...TT, are you joking or drunk? The SEC has 11 bowl eligible teams this year...11. I think we'd played this game last year, and your SEC hatred is again clouding your judgment a bit, IMO. The SEC's weak teams consist of Ole Miss and Ole Miss alone this year. That's funny because 3 weeks ago you said Mississippi St was bad after they got blown out by West Virginia but then they beat Kentucky and Alabama and now they're good? Or is it just when they play BE teams they are bad like when Auburn lost to S.Florida? Maybe they're only good because: A: They play horrible teams out of conference B: Play all out of conference games at home I don't deny that it's a solid conference, but it's not the best. No one has stood out to be that or proven to be that. I don't think it's ever possible to "prove" a conference is better. When I look at the SEC, to me it's clearly the best. I honestly think if a team like Oregon had to go through that SEC schedule, they'd put up at least 2 conference losses. Same goes for any of the other top teams in any other conference. Name your team. They'd lose at least 2 in the SEC. Tell me why you think it's the best. I just did. Tell me why you think it isn't. I've already written 3 posts why. I don't see any from you yet other than just because.
  20. Raisin....any idea how well Pie is hitting? I see his average but I was curious if he was hitting the ball hard.
  21. Who replaces him? Les Miles? Yes, please. I'd think bigger and go after a certain ex Steeler coach.
