  1. Six thru nine hitters in the lineup are 6 for 13, 4 R, 4 RBI and 2 BB. That's production. And that type of production from the bottom of the order will equate a lot of wins.
  2. So far, 2 IP, 1 BB, 6 H, 5 ER for Cmart.
  3. If you start the next inning you have to get to three total batters faced. I'm thinking this is a bad rule change. One of the main factors for instituting the 3 batter rule was to speed up the game. So now if a reliever faces one or two batters and the inning ends, he comes back out for a batter, only to probably/possibly stop the game for a pitching change when it could've been done in between innings.
  4. Looked very awkward throwing, but the LF made a great toss. Better slide by Javy.
  5. Mahle has 5 career starts against the Cubs and has had some success. A couple of games the Cubs did nothing against him.
  6. Didn’t look like Kimbrel was getting a really good grip on the ball. Wonder if it was it was more that than just general loss of control.
  7. Thanks guys! Tired of the music on the "Your Game is in a Delay" screen on my TV.
  8. Sounds pretty basic, but if you're whiffing and/or topping the ball a third of the time, try this at a range. Swing and never take your eye off the spot the ball was teed/resting. Don't even worry about where the ball goes. Stare at the spot the ball is getting hit from even after you hit. You'll know if you hit the ball flush by the feel. And I bet after 10-20 times of doing this, you'll not top the ball very often.
  9. Since I can't get Marquee, is there any word on a potential start time for the game?
  10. Small sample size, but 'bert is 4 for 10 with a dinger off of Miley. Of course, even smaller sample size has Heyward as 3 for 7 with 3 RBIs.
  11. Don't cancel the season. Just jump right into the playoffs. There are eight teams in each league that are all 2-1. Sets up perfectly. Seed them, and let the post season begin. WS Champ by Labor Day!!
  12. Wonder if they’re towel and sheets from that Mike guy. If so, hope he used the promo code and got a second set free.
  13. Verlander says he's NOT out for the rest of the season and just has a forearm strain.
  14. Ohtani doesn't make it out of the first: 0 IP, 3 hits, 3 BB, 5 ER. Ouch.
  15. Votto GIDP with the tying run on third in the 9th. Reds drop 2 of 3 to Tigers.
  16. Even without fans in the stands, I like how the pitcher gets the "slight" humiliation with "Hit the Road Jack" as he departs in the 4th.
  17. ChatsuKKKKKK looking good thru 4. All six strikeouts swinging.
  18. Not very often I like Heyward pounding a fastball into the ground at the 2nd baseman, but I'll take that one. At least he didn't K, and he got the run in.
  19. In other news, Jake Cave with the 'slam in the first. Eloy bumps into the fence and goes down. Ends up staying in the game, but the guy seems a little fragile in the field/base paths in his short career. Twins 4-0, bottom of first.
