His mechanics back there look a lot better than years past and he seems more “quiet” for a lack of a better term. But it’s such a small sample at this point who knows. And even for the “good” framers there’s year to year variance. Seems to be better this year, so far, but he seems awkward. Like he's swiping at the pitches. Doesn't seem overly smooth.

That graphic regarding the DH AVG definitely is a small sample size. But the biggest part not mentioned by Len & JD is the production regarding HRs and RBI. Not gonna get anything close to that with a pitcher in the lineup.

That...Brault is probably only pitching 2-3 innings, and then the Pirates will bring in a RHP. So the stiffs against RHs will get ABs against RHs??

So I guess I'm confused the the "higher ups in New York". I thought Omar was referring to all games, not just Cubs games. Is there some unwritten baseball rule that when you’re set up to sweep a series that you have to completely take your foot off the gas? No Bryant available, Happ and Vic looked like horsefeathers vs lefties the other night and Vic has looked rough in general. You don’t want Kipnis or Heyward facing lefties and all those guys can come in once a RHP comes in if there’s a big AB. Dude got wasted drunk and pulled a gun on a female food delivery driver when she arrived at his house. I'm not going to lose sleep over not adding that kind of person to the organization. And is he even good at baseball?? The guys 29, not old but not young. What baseball reason is there to have him in the org? Seems like just a guy.

So there's a bit of a panic ref Bryant's slow start. Admittedly, not awesome. How about this line to start the season: 1 for 22, 1 HR, 3 RBI,1 BB, 9 Ks. Who is that masked man?
