    I agree that hiring someone of Hispanic heritage fits the upcoming talent on the farm. Now if that Hispanic candidate also has a history of not being clutch in clutch situations, not being able to put away batters after two strikes, not working counts, a history of TOOTBLANs, long periods of being in a funk, a tendency to issue BBs, serving up dingers, that one blow up inning, wildness, unexpected wildness, swinging at 0-2 pitches low and away and making the undramatic catch dramatic....well then that would be great. Splash in a little abuse and you've pretty much got the farm system and current roster covered.

    The Brewers don’t really bother me. They’re like a little brother that you don’t pay much attention to, except occasionally when they become annoying. You get pissed, but at the end of the day, they’re just a little brother. The Cardinals??? horsefeathers that team!!!

    I’m really surprised how so many facets of the Cubs success thru 2016 seems to have changed for the worse. They don’t work counts very often. They often seem to have a poor approach to ABs. They are poor on the base paths. They aren’t very good defensively. They don’t seem to K batters, or they seem to pitch to contact more. Tough, tough season(s).

    They're not really playing much different without Javy, and now Rizzo, than they have all season. Score runs in bunches for a few games, then have zero offense, regardless of the pitcher. Be dominant with the starting staff, then struggle to make it through five. Pen is lights out, pen can't hold a lead. They've been incredibly consistent at not being consistent in any phase of the game the entire season. Doesn't really matter who's hurt, or who isn't.

    I think the Cubs have the pitching advantage in 2 games and a push in another. Hendricks at home is equal (at worst) to Flaherty. Mikolas sucks and Yu is infinitely better. Q is up and down, but the Cubs pound Wacha. He sucks donkey balls too. Hudson v Cole - YIKES! Get tomorrow and they win the series.

    So here's the deal. I'm next to start a game thread (after a nice run by Donger). But I'm gonna be out of pocket after tomorrow for a while. So rather than start a game thread and not be able to follow it up with another after they put an a$$ whoopin' on the Reds...or hope they lose tomorrow so as to not be obliged, I will raffle off the honors with all proceeds going to my favorite charity. Or Derwood can just go. Plus, my throwing shoulder is inflamed.

    have you tried the Moe Norman single plane swing? I know someone who swears by it My swing isn't the problem. Well, not the problem with my back. It's carrying my bag. It's weird because the bag doesn't feel heavy at all when I'm carrying it but the center of my back starts to hurt on the way home. Try the 19th hole and call a cab!

    Not really, Fitzpatrick is a really good player who does some high value things on defense on a rookie deal I just mean that they're probably gonna have a rough season without Ben. They weren't world beaters with him. They'll probably be in the top half of the draft, possibly top 10. MK is very good, and still on a rookie deal for a couple more years. So he IS a top 10 talent. I just think it's strange that the Stillers would make that trade this year. On a side note, apparently Jalen Ramsey wants out of J'ville. He's only signed through 2020. I doubt he's dealt, but if so, I'd imagine the new team would make it contingent on an extension.
