  1. Pitching matchup going in favored the Padres. Offensive lineup favored the Padres. This was not a game I thought the Cubs would win. Good effort all around save the unearned run.
  2. Looks like the first 6 batters have swung at about 10 pitches well out of the zone. Maybe a little less aggressive early in the count would help.
  3. That June schedule looks pretty challenging.
  4. Just now read this (very short) game thread from page 1. Nice win, nice sweep. Only other comment is the above quote really is an indictment of the roster. Sad.
  5. I feel bad for Kyle Hendricks. Cubs will probably get shutout tomorrow.
  6. Willy with a game!
  7. Double no-hitter in Milwaukee thru 6 innings. Top of 7th with one out, Buxton homers.
  8. I don’t think there’s really a question, you should always get relief from a fairway divot. It makes no sense why you shouldn’t. Just get the standard club length that doesn’t put you closer to the hole/improve the lie (going from rough to fairway). Treat a divot like a sprinkler head if the ball is in it. But what constitutes a divot? When does an old divot become regular fairway? This is exactly why I try to avoid the fairways when I golf. Land in a divot and you’re screwed....big time. I don’t know that I’ve ever found myself hitting out of a divot in the long grass.
  9. Should there ever be a reason to refer to him, I will do so by calling him the Apostel Shendrick.
  10. Classic old man bleeding scab Degrading ability from one twist off to the next?
  11. Th\ere are plenty of starting QBs in the NFL worse than Goff. Maybe the Lions thonk they can build around him.
  12. Big Notre Dame fan, but this game will be over by the second quarter.
  13. Haven't been able to see too many Bears games this season, so will Fuller shadow Adams? Or does he primarily play one side of the field?
  14. I was at that game too! SIU had a lead in the second quarter if I remember correctly. I think they were up 17-3. And then Howard took over
  15. I refuse to believe he couldn't get a cramp worked out on the bench. IF they had to take his pants off, put him in the tent. They have everything the sidelines except X-rays and toilets. Lamar had to horsefeathers. The internet has spoken! Oh, I definitely think he cramps - stomach cramps. And I believe he didn't go back to the locker room to take a sh!t. Judging from the way they showed him walking, I think he already took a sh!t. Like in his drawers. He [expletive] himself. And he had to go back to the locker room for a fresh pair of undies armor shorts and pants.
  16. I’d go with Rocks.
  17. http://www.speednik.com/files/2016/12/2016-12-27_00-27-11-640x353.png Newbomb, did you Cub?!?
  18. That's a pretty sure bet. Hope you're correct, regardless of Packer fan' post they've had horseshoes up their asses with Farve and Rodgers. I'm not saying Farve and Rodgers were shots in the dark but, as great as they turned out? No. Which is kinda what I said. They deliberately traded a #1 to get an unknown in Favre. And deliberately took a QB in the 1st round even though they had a HoFer currently on roster. Of course it worked out better than expected. But I'd hardly call it a horseshoe.
  19. Not certain what you mean with "pulling ...out of thin air". The Packers traded the 19th overall pick for a QB taken the year before in the second round. And that guy threw 4 passes, completing two of them to the other team (1 returned for a TD), so it's not like he "showed something" on his brief stint in ATL. GM Ron Wolf clearly thought highly enough of him to go after him with a 1st Rounder, thinking he might be the cornerstone QB for rookie HC Mike Holmgren. Regarding AR, there was back and forth for months leading up to the draft as to which QB would be taken first overall - Alex Smith or AR. Smith it was, and AR happened to fall all the way to GB. I give Ted Thompson a ton of credit for using a 1st Round pick on a QB when they still had an elite QB on the roster. He clearly felt AR was the BPA. Had the Niners taken AR and Smith fell, would TT taken Smith? We'll never know. But the AR pick was intentional. I don't think anyone would've wagered both would be first ballot HoFs, but I think both were expected to be highly successful QBs for the Packers. I say similar props to the Packers if Jordan Love turns out to be an elite QB. They traded up specifically to get him.
  20. Jugs machine is probably most accurate, no?
  21. So is he out for the season? That sounds serious enough not to mess around with by trying to soldier through until fully healed. They say only out minimum of 3 weeks. We’ll see.
  22. Incomplete pass stops clock. Injury can stop play clock without run off.
