    Thanks TT. Makes sense that it's easier to stretch him out in the minors and then use him in relief in the bigs than vice versa.

    What is the plan with Wada? Since he's starting at Iowa, are the Cubs looking at him as a viable option for the rotation in the bigs? Are they looking to possible replace Hendricks (or Wood). with him being 34, he's not a long-term option. And if he was gonna be a bullpen guy, why have him start at Iowa?

    ESPN prefers style over substance. Their style has gotten progressively suckier over the past couple of decade. I do not watch.

    Olt also had 2 ABs two days after he was hit. It took an off day for him to see a specialist, which is when the hairline fracture was found. I don't think it's that odd. If they knew he had a fracture, I doubt he gets the ABs.

    Well, if you blink you may miss Bryant in AAA Not really interested in watching Bryant at AAA. He'll be up soon enough. I'd really like to see Javy cut down on the Ks just a bit. Hopefully a few weeks or so in Iowa will get improve his contact rate.

    Pretty sure Lakes IF days are long gone. He's a LF who can fake it in CF a bit. But yea I'd say he'd still make it over Szczur Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thought I saw Lake playing 3B in a game or two this spring?

    Why is Szczur a lock over Lake? Similar spring numbers. Lake Ks more but is more versatile (a Maddon plus) as he can play IF and OF, no?

    Other than him being on the MLB roster or trading him, what other options do the Cubs have with Welly? In order to go down, he'd have to clear waivers (which he wouldn't)?
