Don't trade them unless we get a really, really, really good offer. These are 2 guys I want on my team in 2007. And to the White Sox and Cardinals, they should be 100% off-limits. Please give us one good, legitimate reason that makes sense to anyone beyond puberty. Cardinals - Division team. I don't want them mowing us down 20 times a year for the next 2 years White Sox - You tell them they are in the Cubs plans for 2007 (which they should be) and the fact that they're the guys that can get the White Sox over the top is what makes it 100% off-limits OK, so if we've decided to trade Maddux, and we have 2 offers - one from St. Louis (or the White Sox) that all of the coaches, scouts and NSBB gurus feel is a better offer than the other one from, say, the Red Sox, we trade with the Red Sox. Am I understanding this correctly?
