  1. Hahaha Vancouver left Luongo in there to give up 8 goals. Awesome.
  2. Dammit guys, if myself and dextermorgan can learn to co-exist in peace then anything is possible! Give peace a chance! [-(
  3. I'm 35 and the main thing that has changed in my approach to my sports teams is that I'm able to put things in perspective after a loss a little better. I don't let the losses bother me for hours or days (in the case of football) anymore. I still yell at the TV during the games just as much as I ever did but once the game ends I am able to let it go quickly. The problem with this 2011 Cubs team is there really isn't any future for the current roster as a whole to become a winning team. Obviously some parts are going to have to be replaced/traded/etc. Castro has an exciting future but when he makes the playoffs for the first time as a Cub (hopefully it happens) you know it will be with a completely different team around him. I entered this season hoping this team could at least hang around .500 for a while and stay within shouting distance of contention into July/August if not longer. Obviously the injuries don't help much but even with a fully healthy roster I'm not sure this team could do much better than break even.
  4. This season is degenerating into a perfect storm of awfulness.
  5. I'll admit that I expected more. The timing seems to indicate it did push a switch though. From what I understand tO$U got a copy of the article on Friday. So whatever happened between Friday and today seemed to dictate them shoving Tressel out the door.
  6. The O-Zone forum is in full blown denial mode now. "What, that is all they got?" lol
  7. The O$U athletic director has made a public statement...via youtube. lulz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwZa_Bx6ik
  8. The O Zone forum is fun to read today.
  9. RIP Carlos Fisher's pitching arm. 95 pitches.
  10. Dude is aware that David Robinson is out of eligibility right? I mean...Navy? Really? :-k
  11. PSU's basketball coach is leaving them for Navy? lolwhut
  12. I saw him in the dugout standing next to Quade in the top half of this inning and I thought he was the batboy. Wow.
  13. An inning like that, I can be forgiven for not getting everything right. I copied most of that from Yahoo! anyway. Yahoo is the worst. I hate them.
  14. - D. Barney singled to shallow right - S. Castro singled to right center, D. Barney to third - A. Ramirez walked, S. Castro to second - C. Pena walked, D. Barney scored, S. Castro to third, A. Ramirez to second - R. Johnson doubled to left, S. Castro and A. Ramirez scored, C. Pena to third - A. Soriano safe at first on shortstop J. Lowrie's fielding error, C. Pena scored - F. Morales relieved M. Albers - J. Baker hit for B. DeWitt - J. Baker doubled to deep center, R. Johnson and A. Soriano scored - K. Hill struck out swinging - K. Fukudome walked - D. Barney flied out to right, A. Soriano and R. Johnson scored on E5 and E... something... - S. Castro doubled to left, D. Barney scored Yeah Soriano did not score on Baker's double but otherwise that is accurate. ;)
  15. Eric Karros: "The Red Sox are playing defense the way the Cubs have been playing defense."
  16. They said Byrd went to the hospital but he never lost consciousness.
  17. No idea but it is pretty cool! :yahoo:
  18. It isn't like the average fan has any say in who they hire anyways. With Sampson I think most IU fans just hoped for the best and made themselves believe he would never break NCAA rules ever again. Not that I'm going to deny we have a large number of douchebags in our own fan base. I can barely stand to read any Indiana basketball message boards.
  19. :hello: Well that is interesting. But I'll be honest, I don't care if Capo got Creaned or not. I just didn't think it was necessarily the only explanation since players who suck do tend to transfer sometimes for more playing time. It does happen. :P After 66 losses the last 3 seasons, Crean could cut half the damn roster for all I care if it meant having a team that could compete and have a winning record next season. That isn't suprising. You guy's were the fanbase that cheered on Bobby Knight. The moral of the story is when you win big, you can be a douche and the fans don't mind. :good:
  20. He is so dull that I honestly barely notice him talking at this point. It is just background noise, lol.
