After watching them today -- especially that OLine -- I'm not sure they really did. Seems like they are a little like us in that respect. They have issues up front and it doesn't look like they addressed them. Yeah the Falcons gave up too much for Julio Jones and that hurt their ability to solidify their overall team. Julio might end up being a hell of a WR but the short-term gains are not going to justify the cost of that trade. I thought the Jones pickup was perfect. They needed another speedy WR to stretch the field. But for some reason the OC didn't call anything deep all game. Wasn't that the point of giving 5 guys for Jones? Well, how often can you throw the ball deep to him if the QB doesn't have time to throw it? ;) The problem is that they needed to trade 5 guys to draft him. No speed receiver is worth that much unless the rest of your team is perfectly aligned which obviously Atlanta has other issues too.
