Deserved 0 bids. How the hell did this happen? How did that entire conference get so bad? I mean I've never thought of the Pac 10 as an elite hoops conference but usually they have produced at least some strong teams in the past. Heck, Howland gets an extension and UCLA could not even qualify for the tourney in this league? Howland didn't get an extension, he just didn't get fired. A few reasons for the conference being down: a lot of recruiting misses (highly regarded recruits being busts and less regarded HS players ending up succeeding at UNLV, SDSU, New Mexico, etc.) and there has been a massive dearth of HS basketball talent in Southern California, which has generally been the biggest pool of talent for the whole conference. Yeah, I guess I misread the Howland thing. It still boggles my mind. I've never seen the Pac 10 this bad.

Well, Indiana is locked in at the 5 seed now at least. No, but IU does have the league lead in FT attempts locked in. Nope, by my calculations, Michigan and Wisconsin hold 2, 3, and 4 team tiebreakers over them, while Indiana has 2, 3, and 4 team tiebreakers over Purdue. They're tied in the standings and play each other Sunday. By my calculations, Purdue has a 0% chance of winning on Sunday. :-"

See, I told you guys we would win. =D> Lunardi says IU is now locked in as at least a 4 seed for the NCAA tourney and could push their way into a 3 seed. \:D/ I'm a little surprised. I figured that if they lost to Purdue and either Nebraska/Penn State that they'd probably slip to a 5. I think to have a good shot at a 3 they'd have to beat Purdue and make it to Saturday of the BTT. That would give them a good opportunity to steal a 3 seed from whichever team slips right above them. It looks like the only way for them to get a bye in the BTT now is taking it away from Ohio State if they lose their last two games, which isn't all that likely. Otherwise it would be 5th seed if they beat Purdue and 6th seed if they don't. Yeah. I went ahead and got tickets for the session that includes the 5/12 game on Thursday. And I have tickets to all of Friday's games. I've never been to the BTT before so I am looking forward to it. Why do you want to watch Purdue play Thursday? :-" TRAP GAME TONIGHT! :P
