  1. Can't say I've ever seen back-to-back 3 base errors.
  2. Sveum could be the MLB manager equivalent of Phil Jackson and play masterful mind games and this team would still suck. I don't think I'm seeing his managing style being a style rooted in fear. He does a lot of aggressive infield shifting and has the team being very aggressive on the basepaths. He has not hesitated to shift around lineups and also the closer role...I just think I'm seeing a lot more action than inaction from Dale. And with a team this bad, I think you have to be aggressive and take some risks. The Aramis hate, well...that is just Kaplan-esque and there is no other way to describe it. 9 Campana's over 9 Castro's....my god. IF ONLY RYAN THERIOT WAS STILL AROUND TO SHOW THESE GUYS HOW TO PLAY THE RIGHT WAY. :hello:
  3. That was a well struck hit by Mr Maholm. :hello:
  4. All Starlin needs now is some crazy inside-the-park HR type of play to cap the best cycle ever. \:D/
  5. I miss Ted Lilly. :(
  6. I'm fine with allowing Vitters to get in a full season at AAA and then letting him compete for the 3B job next spring. While I am anxious to see some of the kids on the farm get big league call-ups, I like the patient approach the new front office is taking.
  7. This is a concept that I give my full support. :yahoo:
  8. He was going to be out by a mile regardless. Either way, it isn't too much to ask that the guy at least try to run it out. The guy with a knee held together by old chewing gum and string, who you are trying to showcase in the lineup for a trade? You're right, standing in the batter's box looks much better than at least jogging toward the bag. Obviously he should have known the Boston 3B was playing with a glove made of cobblestone.
  9. He was going to be out by a mile regardless. Either way, it isn't too much to ask that the guy at least try to run it out. I'd rather him not blow his crippled knees out trying to "hustle" to satisfy the meatball crowd on a play where he had zero chance of reaching base regardless of the bobble.
  10. He was going to be out by a mile regardless.
  11. Really, Tim? You think Soriano would have legged that out? Cue random meatball rage.
  12. It has been forever since I've listened to a Cubs game on the radio, I am thinking that might be a good thing (although I still like Pat Hughes obviously).
  13. It's Buck ballgame I'm kind of half-watching the game and doing other things and for some reason Buck sounded like Brennaman to me. Not that it matters...I dislike them all fairly equally.
  14. I'M SO OUTRAGED I CAN'T EVEN THINK STRAIGHT!
  15. Wow man. Is the default position that you have to hate James and the heat, and when you dont you are a huge fan? Im simply stating an obvious, given a 1-1 series and 3 straight in miami, the heat have a significant edge. Same as I did when I said Bosh's jumper could stretch the boston D and that the Heat would take that series when they were down 3-2. And per lebron, im not gonna hate on a guy's game because he announced his free agency decision on live tv. I dont understand the point of refusing to recognize what he is doing. I would have said the same on here about Kobe in 2009 or Dirk last year. LBJ is the best of his generation and playing at his best right now. either you're a heat fan, or you're rooting for them because it's become trendy to feel sorry for the heat and revolt against the people who are so mean to them. Totally agree on the trendy Heat fan phenomenon. I see these kinds of "Heat fans" here in Fort Wayne. Half the time they don't even seem all that interested in actually watching the game, seems like they just think they are cool for wearing Heat/Lebron gear. Which actually now that I think about it, that is kind of the way actual Heat fans in Miami act, right? :-k :-)
  16. Just watched the game on DVR. Stupid Dempster, such a choker. :hello:
  17. Attended the Fort Wayne-Lansing game tonight. Found out Jacque Jones is the hitting coach for Fort Wayne. Yes, THAT Jacque Jones.
