Sorry if you cant read those stats very well they are organized better in tomorrows game thread.

Yeah sure. You'll care about it when it comes. That's when you would be calling Lou a moron for burning out the BP arms. Sorry, seen this act too many times before. It's really easy to make an argument when you are making up what the opinion is of the people you're arguing against. Yeah, well I've seen these scenarios play out on this and other message boards for too many years. It's pretty much always the same story. Always ends up with the board members geniuses and the managers idiots. How convenient. Nah Lou is doing plenty of things to justify him being an idiot. But you try winning games right now and come July or Aug then you see how your bp is, if their arms are tired then you see what you have in the minors or what teams are trading parts of their bullpen. If we dont start winning these games the tiredness of our bp isnt going to matter in August. Hell in any other year besides this year, August wouldnt matter right now cause of Lous terrible bullpen use, and decision making. Lou and the Cubs are just extremely lucky this division blows. I'm not sure I would characterize it as luck, when anyone can look at the standings and see the division blows. You manage the season as it is, with the conditions that are in place for that season. What you are describing is terribly short-term management, and if I may say so, myopic. I'm glad Lou isn't doing that. Revamping an entire bullpen, or even a significant part of it, is hard enough when you have an entire offseason, to say nothing of trying to do it out of desperation mid-stream because you blew out your best arms. You guys keep talking about burning our our bullpen by leaving Wuertz in there. The guy had thown 12 damn pitches today and 31 all week. How is leaving him in burning him out? Give me a break keep making your excuses for Lou but our bullpen for the week had not been worked very hard at all. Now if any of those stats show that putting somebody else into the game besides Eyre would be burning them out, well then you are crazy. So because the bullpen sucks, Lou must walk on eggshells and bring in the exact perfect person or he's an idiot? The perfect person of course being Howry or Ohman, every single time. Never mind that a strategy like that will send those 2 to the DL by July. This makes no sense. Eyre sucks, he's on the team. Either get him off the team, or Lou will have to use him. Period, end of story. Well, he doesn't have to use him. Lou chose to bring him in in the eight today but he didn't have to. Maybe it's Lou's way of letting Hendry know he need to get rid of Eyre. He can't have a guy taking a roster spot, particularly in the pen and not use him. Just can't, it will hurt as much as sending the guy out there over time. If Lous way of letting Hendry know to get rid of Eyre is to put his team in a bad situation, then he should be fired now. They have things like email, text messages, phones, and even these things called cell phones that can be used to convey to Hendry he wants Eyre off the team. Given, I doubt that he is trying to send a message by putting him in in that situation. However, Eyre riding the pine for a week I think was message enough. Ultimately what is he going to do? He has to bring in a lefty. Why? Wuertz is capable of getting lefties out, and was rolling. And even if he "had' to bring in a lefty, why not Ohman? Why bring in somebody who has sucked all year, and continually hurt his team? There is no logical reasoning in bringing Eyre into this game. Again, they've told you this. You can't keep running the same guys out there every day or our bullpen is really going to take a hit when everyone of the relievers starts to break down. I think you have no idea how to run a bullpen. You guys think you can throw all of our best relievers 4-5 days in a row, and it's not possible/not logical at all. You're going to destroy your bullpen. Wuertz was already in the game and had only thrown 12 damn pitches. If we keep blowing games like this our bullpen being tired in July or August isnt going to mean jack. You worry about July or Aug when you get there, if your bullpen is tired then you see what moves you can make. But by continualy putting shitty guys into the game that have no business in a game will make July and Aug moot real quick. But hey you go ahead and keep worrying about August, when we are 10-15 back cause Lou cant use his bullpen correctly. Lou and the Cubs are lucky this division sucks, or else we would already be 10-15 out because of Lous inability to properly run a bullpen. -
fixed? ok so cubs can release him and open up a roster spot for scott eyre at iowa. Eyre cant go to Iowa unless he clears waivers. Even as bad as he has been I doubt he would clear waivers, but at this point its time for Hendry to admit his mistakes and move on from him.

Worry about August when we get to August. If we keep throwing Eyre and Howry out there in close games, August wont mean jack
-
HAHAHA if he steps into the rotation only being able to hit 81, Im going to the next Cubs open workout. I could hit 83....well in 1998 I did but that gives me a chance right? HAHAAHa
-
#1 - not sure why he did this. Sounds like a bad idea to me #2 - not a 'mistake,' you can't simply lean on Wuertz for tons of innings because he's one of the few talented arms we have. He'll burn out before the all-star break #3 - See #2. You can't do this. If Eyre can't pitch out of the bullpen, he needs to leave. If he can only pitch in blowout games, same deal. Either he is capable, or he needs to be gone. That's not a Lou mistake, it's a Hendry failure. #4 - Howry's been alright lately, and he's being counted on to be one of the major bullpen arms in the pen. This is not a mistake. #5 - Guzman had control issues too. Wuertz has had control issues, Dempster too. Lou could have called on me to pitch, but I don't think the umps would allow it. This bullpen sucks, period. Maybe Lou should do a voodoo dance before he visits the mound, hell I don't know. #6 - This one was silly. I'll give you that. Seems to be 2 mistakes, and the other 4 are just basically the bullpen is junk and Lou can't perform miracles that turn turds into gold. I guess you missed Friday nights game huh
-
Id take that trade right now, at least with Cy we dont have to worry about seeing him in a meaningful game. Well and if he is I dont think hes going to throw the ball very far lol
-
Yea we got it, but the point still remains, Lou sucks :D
-
I see little chance of Kobe being traded.

ding ding ding we have a winner. Why is it that basically all of us know this but our old senile manager cant? um... Oh no did I spell a word wrong on an internet message board? Um, who cares I don't think it's the spelling that's the issue. Edit: or maybe it was. Im lost because I have no clue what he was getting at?

He hadnt used him in 9 games and he decides to bring him into a 1-0 game? Thats smart right there let me tell ya -
bunting with your cleanup hitter. Trying to steal 3rd with 2 outs. Id really like to know if the steal sign was on or not. I have to think it was because I really dont think Barret would just steal 3rd with 2 out like that
-
You forgot about having our cleanup hitter Barret attempt a sac bunt. Brilliant I tell you just freaking Brilliant!!

Had to be done on a 0-0 game that late. The way this team has been hitting you need that run. Not to mention Ward almost had a single, what would everyone have been saying then? That Lous bad decision got lucky. Son shines on a dogs butt every once in awhile basically and the move did not have to be made. You leave your pitcher in that gives you the best chance and not giving up runs, and in case you havent noticed thats not out bullpen. -

Actually it was 0-0 but your point still stands it was dumb. your bp keeps blowing leads so lets get them in the game sooner than they should be. Ya thats the right move  -

Whos joining me. The old man has lost his mind and making assanine move after move.
