    This is exactly how the roster should be really. There was no chance Marquis was getting left off with him having 2 years left on his deal. Cedeno has done more this season for us than Monroe has, and Soto should be starting.

    The less of a role Marquis plays in these playoffs, the better off the Cubs will be.

    That doesn't mean they'll actually use him. It's just saying that he's on the roster but won't start, and to tell everyone that he's being put on the roster just as an insurance policy doesn't sit well with people. So Marquis is technically available out of the bullpen, but the only place he likely would be used is the long reliever. Baically there was noway the Cubs were going to leave him off the roster since its a well known fact about how pissed he was last year, and the fact he has 2 more years left on his deal here. All I know, they better not be trying to keep Marquis happy, and leave a guy like Hart, who deserves to make it, off just to satisfy Marquis.

    Agreed to a certain extent but this one: 4. "We make it tough for you to watch your team play." ... is true and it is an outrage. I am sitting here tonight unable to watch the Pads-Rox playoff because TBS is blocked for Puerto Rico and no one can tell me why. I called my cable provider and they told me they had no idea, but gave me an email address for TBS. MLB better cut this crap out and soon or its going to turn off a whole legion of potential new fans. It seems like greed getting in the way of common sense. I thought I read MLB.tv was free for this game. So you should be able to watch the game on your computer

    If Im the Dbacks I start Owings in the OF or something the days he dont pitch. Hes one of their best hitters, hes probable better than 3-4 of the guys in their lineup.

    The game was in Missouri, was it in Columbia, no, but it was still a road game for IL. It was in a major city nearly equidistant from the schools. The crowd was split down the middle exactly. Illinois wore their home uniforms. It was like a bowl game, neutral for both sides. I don't know why I'm continuing to talk about it since it really doesn't matter, but it is what it is. Well Illinois still had to go on the road to play it lol. Agreed it doesnt matter

    For my best friend who died in a car wreck about a week after the 03 playoffs. He was a die hard Cubs fan and was only 29, I think hes up there helping us this year.

    let's be honest... Syracuse is awful, Western Illinois is a decent I-AA team, but not that good, and Indiana is barely average Illinois in the 1st game of the year went on the road, lost their starting qb, and nearly beat the now #17 team in the country. They went on the road and beat a Syracuse team who has since beat Louisville, who was ranked at the time. They also beat the #21 team in the country, Penn State. I see no reason why they dont have as good of case as the teams currently ranked 23-25. Oh well when we beat Wisconsin this week by 3, they will be ranked.

    Well, except those will be save situations which he is good in. I hope. But he's been real bad in September which is a cause for concern. I agree, Ill be nervous as hell with him in there in a 1 run lead.l
