  1. Idiots. I'd explain why, but I think the issue of whether or not the Cubs "need" a left-handed outfielder doesn't really need to be explored. I agree, but I can't say that I'd mind getting Bradley into this lineup.... Soriano, Fukudome, Lee, Ramirez, Bradley, Soto, DeRosa, Theriot/Cedeno Wow. It would be pretty awesome if the cubs idioted themselves into getting Bradley. I'll do you one better...trade Pie for Greene, and a pitcher for Bradley. Thatd be one hell of an offense. The pitcher would probably be Hill and Gallagher.

I agree, but I can't say that I'd mind getting Bradley into this lineup.... Soriano, Fukudome, Lee, Ramirez, Bradley, Soto, DeRosa, Theriot/Cedeno Wow. We would probably give up Cedeno and Pie to get him. But yea if the cost wasnt enormous than Id be all for Bradley.
  3. Lmao. Seriously if they know Fuku is the perfect for the 2 hole then put him there. Move Soto up to 5th, and worry about left right matchups in the game when they occur.
  4. Thread title needs changed to "When is the next time Cedeno will actually get a start"?
  5. If true I wonder what starter we will call up from the minor leagues to sit on his ass in the bullpen.
  6. Word has it Wainwright is being pushed back and that Mike Parisi may make a start in Colorado.
  7. Cardinals sent down Anthony Reyes today and called up pitcher Mike Parisi, who is scheduled to start in Colorado. Apparently Wainwright is being pushed back a day, and Piniero has had back stiffness.
  8. We are dissatisfied because of out manager. If you can justify some of his moves of late Id like to hear. Sitting Pie against rightys, not starting Cedeno, and allowing Marmol to pitch twice this week in blowouts, but not in a extra inning game Friday just to name a few.
  9. Hope this is ok with the mods but I felt this thread needs revived. Lets keep the other crap outta here, and keep this one for expressing our appreciation for Mr 10million Eric Gagne. Oh Gagne blew another one today :-"
  10. You better watch questioning him, he might get mad at you.
  11. Gagne wow. Such a great investment.
  12. There is no justification however for Ronny to not start in a week.
  13. Well the game hasnt even started again, but lineups are out and Cedeno and Pie are sitting their ass on the bench once again. We are facing a righty, whos not that good, but Lou still thinks Reed is a better option than Felix. Dont worry Im sure Felix will get the start when we face Harang and Cueto. Oh and Cedeno still is OPSing over 1.000 and hasnt started a damn game in over a week, but dont worry Lou said he will find a spot for him....
  14. Dont worry Lou said he would find a spot for Ronny, dont worry. Oh and dont question Lou, hes a Hall of Fame manager damnit.
  15. Hell at this rate they would probably release Cedeno instead of sending down Fontenot.
  16. Jesus still no Cedeno or Pie. Someone needs to kick Lou in the nuts.
  17. Suspect? Its been downright assanine.
  18. Lets go Atlanta, lets see the biggest chokejob in NBA history by the Celts today.
  19. Ahh of course, he had a rough month in Sept and the playoffs, and that far out weighs his previous 5 months of above average pitching. That sure makes some sense. Yet, Lilly was worse in the playoffs and had a worse month of April, which the stat head in me figured out was more recent than September. I understand that not being able to find the strikezone is a lot different than being hit hard and it is a real problem. It just kills me that Rich Hill and Felix Pie, the cheapest and least experienced "starters" on the team, are publicly ridiculed for not performing after getting jerked around and sitting for several days. Yet, people performing at a lesser level are getting chances to get on track. Gotta go with the veteran dude..... It all sounds so familiar
  20. No ML manager is stupid enough to let their best reliever pitch 2 innings in a blowout..... I mean they are in professional baseball they know what they are doing.
  21. Probably, but the "outrageous" label is more about what we expect him to do in the future, rather than what he has done to date. For his actual production so far, his contract is at or below expected market value. Don't get me wrong...if I could trade him right now only paying a million or two of his contract, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I fully expect one of 08 or 09 will be a terrible year, although I haven't figured out which one yet. At least so far though, he's done the job. I thought he was only signed through 08? Haha nope I wish. He signed a 3 year 27 milion deal last year. We got him for next year too :banghead:
  22. Its not so much the sending Hill down that bothers me. Its the trying to change stuff with a pitcher who was in the top 30-40 pitchers in all of baseball last year. Just leave him alone and let him pitch, but Lou has been pretty annoyed with Rich ever since he got the job, and its mind boggling. As for leaving Soriano in with the big lead today, I think the only other option would have been Ward. Murton can only PH just like Marshall can only face lefties. Murton's been off the team for a few days now. I think he meant they could have shifted Johnson over to LF instead of taking him out of the game. Oops yea I forgot all about Murton being sent down since we hardly seen him when he was up. But yea nvm this team just has me confused.
