  1. I wouldnt mind bringing Edwards onto the Bears staff in some capacity. He has experience as a head coach, and has ties to Lovie, although I dont think the Bears have any positions open.
  2. Good idea for Singeltary to try bringing in an experienced guy like Reeves. Absolutely. I'm just surprised Reeves has any interest in being a coordinator. Yea but isnt Reeves getting up there in age quite a bit? Im guessing he misses coaching, but probably doesnt want the rigors of being a head coach anymore, so being an offensive coord. is the next best thing. Im really hoping Singletary is successful in San Fran, mainly because hes one of my favorite ex Bears, but also with hope he can take over for Lovie.

  4. Thats awesome SSR
  5. Umm you need to check Vizquels stats for last year, and rethink your statement about offensive production. Vizquel sucks offensively
  6. Good job Northwestern, all us Illini fans thank you.
  7. I didn't start hoping they'd lose, but I don't watch there games anymore. It's pathetic to watch But do you watch home games anymore?
  8. Just throwing this out there as I was driving home from work this morning Ted Sundquist(ex front office guy for Broncos) suggested Jeff Garcia would be a good guy for the Bears to bring in. Any thoughts?
  9. Your first mistake jersey was reading Barry Rozner
  10. Heh wow Illinios finally managed to break into both polls at 24. About damn time.
  11. Hey I was impressed. He wrote that entire thing without misspelling a word, guess there is always a time for a 1st.
  12. Illinois vs Mich State less than 24 hours away and Im already pumped. Not expecting an Illinois win, but I wouldnt be shocked either . Lets go Illini!
  13. If there is a God, Florida will not win this game. I really want to hear Mephs spin if Florida loses like they did vs Mich last year.
  14. So if the 3rd year isnt guaranteed, I wonder if its a straight 2 year 20 million, or if maybe something like 8mil the 1st year, 10mil the 2nd year, and 12 the 3rd year? I havent seen any breakdown to the contract but Id be very surprised if we are paying him 10 mil this season. Im guessing its more like a 2 year deal for 18mil with the vesting option making it 3 and 30. If this is the case, I love this deal.
  15. Tavaris Jackson lol
  16. how many times do they say this? why not just affiliate with warm-weather places if you're going to complain about the cold every year Hey shut up IMB dont you try taking Peoria from us people in central Illinois. The Chiefs are about all we have damnit
  17. Illinois has 2 final fours since 1952. 0 National titles (unless you count the mythical one earned in 1915). They have a couple more tournament appearances. Illinois is slightly better than Iowa historically. If Iowa is irrelevant than Illinois is slightly relelvant. Congratulations your fanbases supperiority complex is warranted. Iowa hasnt been relevant in Big 10 basketball since 1979, come on thats ridiculous. How can a "relevant" team go 20 years without a Big Ten Championship, and still have arrogant ass fans who think their team is anything more than a joke. 1979? I'd say 1987 at least. Point taken, I was mainly discussing Big Ten Championships though which is why I said 79
  18. Ok Im done its been fun by the way SSR Id like for you to share your opinion on Illinois new OC
  19. Ok because you say so it has to be true.....JR TOWELS!

  22. Yea that rich Iowa history of Big Ten Championships.............8 with the last being 1979 :rotfl: Or that history of Sweet 16 appearances........3 :rotfl: Or that history of Elite 8 appearances.....1 :rotfl: Or that history of Final Four appearances......3 with the last being 1980.... :rotfl: I mean come on do I really need to keep going
  23. Havent seen this mentioned anywhere, but Illinois has hired TCU's OC as their own OC. Pretty good choice. Opens up a pipeline for recruiting to Texas, and TCU's offense was ranked 25th nationally this past year.
  24. I never really understood why Iowa fans think their team is relevant, and that Illinois fans care about them. Iowa is a big 10 school so sure Illinois fans may throw Iowas name into a conversation, but its not like Illinois fans are ever too concerned with Iowa basketball. All Illinois fans are concerned with regarding Iowa basketball players is making sure no rapes take place while Iowa is in Champaign....
  25. Ahh ok thanks Dew, I hadnt seen that.
