    Flipping this around on you, what has Wells done to merit leaving the rotation after two starts? Not giving up a run? If the guy's doing well you stick with him until he proves otherwise. Lou may like Marshall in the swing role better because he's had success there before and its a demanding job. Marshall has done nothing to lose his job. Wells has made 2 starts in the majors, thats it. Yes he hasnt allowed a run, but hes pitched himself in and out of quite a bit of trouble. Like you said, if a guys doing well you stick with him, which is why Marshall shouldnt leave the rotation, just because Neil Cotts sucks.

    False. Hes had 11 outings without giving up a run and 7 with giving up a run. Right hand hitters are getting on base against him at a .375 clip, thats not good, and has to be a concern. I understand hes pitched well in May up until this point, but hes not reliable.

    I remember last year you kept defending Howry pretty hard too TT. Not really, but that's not relevant. Gregg is an okay reliever, and he's very inconsistent. The previous post is to remind people that for the last two weeks he's been awesome. Yea you were defending him pretty hard in the early part of the year but I was just giving you crap. Gregg is maybe ok as a 6th-7th inning guy when you still have guys to come in and bail his ass out, but as a closer hes not ok. When you have already used your "good" relievers, having Gregg is a problem. We have seen him have good days, but we have seen more bad from him than good. Honestly lou needs to start mixing and matching the bullpen a little. Let Marmol get the 1-2 run saves, bring Gregg in to save when you still have Marmol to bail him out, but if those 2 guys have been used we put ourselves in a really tough situation.

    Yea rusty, and the intensity level isnt there in a non save situation. Uh I would think intensity would get up pretty quick when you give up 2 bombs and 2 hits. Also, Lou says Marshall will pitch Thurs, and then we will go from there. UGHHHH In 2 weeks Marshall isnt going to be in this rotation. Id bet money on it.

    Yea Lou, use the lack of intensity as a reason Gregg sucked, and lack of use. Id think the intensity level would be there after giving up 2 bombs, and 2 more hits.

    Lilly's pitching Tuesday. Marshall wasn't supposed to pitch until Thursday so he'd still be on full rest if he was to go today. Ahh ok Tuesday, Thursday whats the difference? :D
