  1. But..but... they never boo anyone :o Yea ask Tino Martinez about that. Or Izzy
  2. Joe Buck fellating the fans. OMG SHUT THE [expletive] UP YOUR [expletive] FANS ARE NO BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSES OK? For fucks sake
  3. Ok nice response, I still have no clue what you meant by it, but oh well.
  4. Okay, I'll try again. Maybe he meant major league caliber 2b's. Ohh well send Hendry to the Pirates, and then they will all be viewed as major league caliber 2b's. :D
  5. Oh for fucks sake swing the bat
  6. So just turned this on, has it been the Pujols [expletive] sucking fest that Ive imagined it would be?
  7. OK but he has zero at bats at The Ballpark in Arlington this year, so Im not really sure what this has to do with anything. He played for the Rangers last year. NonProfitCow was probably trying to say that we shouldn't expect him to repeat last year's performance. Which wouldnt make any sense because there is nobody in this thread saying they expect to repeat last years performance. Hell its the ASB, Id say its impossible for him to do that at this point. It just seemed like a really odd comment to make right now.
  8. Ryan wouldnt have to be unhittable, hed just have to be able to get a lefty or 2 out in a close game. Right now Marshall is a better option as a starter than Rich Harden. Until they figure out what is wrong with Harden, he really shouldnt be starting. If hes hurt DL him, if hes tipping his pitches or something, then fix it, but I trust Marshall to give us a quality start damn near each time out and keep us in the game, alot more than Harden at this point.
  9. OK but he has zero at bats at The Ballpark in Arlington this year, so Im not really sure what this has to do with anything.
  10. They'd actually do well to trade him now - he's 31 so he's not likely in their long term plans. I'm guessing the general plan is, if offered a good return, they'll trade him. But, they won't trade him for the sake of trading him. Same w/ Jack Wilson. The problem is, we'd need a 2B back, as we have no one in the minors who's close enough to being ready to take over, even on a stretch. Same w/ Jack. Such is the Legacy of Dave Littlefield. We will give you Fonteot, Miles, and Baker. Now you have plenty of 2nd baseman to replace Sanchez....Deal?
  11. Yea the reason why Fuld isnt in the lineup over Fuku is because Lou has no backbone. Yea thats it.
  12. So much for him not being able to handle the Wrigley crowd. Maybe the booing and whatnot gets him fired up. Yea I dont know, Im just going to assume hes had the majority of his RH at bats at Wrigley, and thats why his numbers are like that. I could be wrong, but it shocked me to see such a major difference like that, and that hes been better at home.
  13. Pretty sure Howard would win that one by default. ETA: Also, I had no idea Mauer has been in such a HR-slump as of late. I think they should make both run around the bases. Fastest time wins. And cause a major earthquake in Stl? Ok Ive got no problem with that idea now that I think about it
  14. Maybe his gut is as smart as they come, because the guy sure as hell isnt. Mariotti is a giant douchebag, who loves himself more than his own mom loves him.
  15. Wow has anyone checked Bradleys home/away splits for the year? Wow talk about drastic Home .303 .429 .486 .915 109 at bats Away .178 .325 .267! .592! 101 at bats Now Im wondering has he faced more leftys at home which is bumping up the home numbers or what?
  16. or acquire hallady. Is he better than Halladay? If so, lets get him now!
  17. Oh I forgot this quote from the same article. Love the bolded
  18. I'm guessing Hart would go back down rather than Harden being DL'd. Hart is already down
  19. Sign Ryan, DL Harden, move Marshall back to the rotation.
  20. Im hoping Pujols hits about 50 long home runs, and completely fucks up his swing for the entire 2nd half.
  21. Milton had a pretty good series vs the Cardinals, and according to him "hes back". Lets hope so, Id love to see a hotter than hell Bradley the entire 2nd half. I loved his quotes from yesterdays game. And here is the quote from him claiming hes back, and back for good. Lets hope so http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090712&content_id=5848010&vkey=recap&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  22. I want Bradley to keep hitting and taking pitches like he has been, and Soriano to get hot like he has in the past. Also for DLee to keep doing what hes been doing, and the health of ARam wont be as important, because I dont think we are going to see the ARam we have all loved the rest of this year. Pitchers to keep pitching like they have, and Rich Harden to quit pitching like Shawn Estes.
  23. Did you just want to post in this thread? It was a good move. If nothing else it was nice to see a manager get away from having to manage by the book and go with an unconventional move in a fairly big game. Meh I dont know if Id call it a good move, as LaRussa countered that whole thing perfectly and got the matchups in his favor. It worked, but LaRussa got the lefty/righty matchup he wanted
