Not that this is completely telling, but: 49ers: 9th ranked passing defense in terms of TDs (24th in yards) Lions: 31st ranked in passing defense in terms of TDs (also 31st in yards) Arent the Niners missing some people in that secondary though? Clements? Im just trying to decide if Favre will even be needed to put up any kind of numbers vs Det, whereas Im fairly certain Cutler will be needed to put up points(and probably lots of them).
Im tired of hearing Tommy talk. Shutting up and doing something productive on the field would be a start. Doesn't matter because Im fairly certain Harris is gone after this season.
OK, I really can't believe I'm asking this, and I would have told you at the beginning of the season you were nuts for asking it but here it goes.... Cutler vs San Fran Favre vs Det I think I need to put down my Bears goggles and go with the obvious here, but wanting some other input.
Id rather keep Castro and Vitters at this point then trade for Halladay. Hes over 30 and hes logged alot of innings, and the Cubs are at a point where they need some good cheap players, then another massive contract.
I would definitely take Wagner on a 1 year deal. Between Marmol, Guzman, and Wagner, our backend of the bullpen would look pretty damn good. Wagner looked good when he came back last year, and isn't going to be looking for a long term contract.
Right now the receivers are the least of this team's problems. I wouldnt go that far. Bennett cutting off routes is a major problem. It directly has lead to a couple of Cutlers INTs. A big veteran WR would do wonders for this team, as it would give Cutler someone to trust on 3rd down where he can throw the ball up to his WR and expect him to bring it down. Hester has been nice this year, but hes not a go get it type WR. OLine and D are definitely problems, but WR is still a problem.
IF the Bears come back in this game, if I'm a Cardinal fan, I'm calling for Whisenhunts head. Putting Leinart in is 1 thing, but bringing him in throwing all over the field is really stupid
