  1. I think there's a hell of a lot of people that would be more than happy to see them simply release him and owe all the money. Yup plenty of Cubs fans just want him gone, no matter the return and no matter the cost.
  2. At 1st base he can, but hes not too great in the OF is he?
  3. From Bruce Levines blog http://espn.go.com/chicago/columns/blog/_/post/4602900/name/levine
  4. Our first 15 games of the schedule are a BITCH!
  5. Opening night is here! Spurs looked really damn good last night. Im hoping them being on the backend of a back to back will slow them down a little and let the Bulls stay competitive. My prediction Spurs 94 Bulls 89
  6. http://baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=9697 Heh, seems as if somebody else agrees with my opinion on Shark, besides Jersey.
  7. Yeah heard this on ESPN1000 earlier today. I'm also hearing Williams may be on the hot seat to get Shaffer in there to help the run game. The ESPN article implies that Pace's job is the one threatened by Shaffer. I really hope its Pace and not Williams. Benching your number 1 draft pick, while letting the over the hill, has looked like crap all year Orlando Pace play, would be one of the dumber things the Bears have ever done.
  8. That's been the excuse since his first pro season. But the bottom line is he's been ineffective. He's not young either. I think his numbers do a fine job of describing him. Occasionally solid, but usually not good. Exactly its always been "hes working on this" or "hes working on that" and "hes still raw" etc... Well hes been in the Cubs system now for a few years, and he hasnt done much to warrant any positive expectations of him. Id love for him to come in and be the number 5 starter and be effective, I just don't have much hope.
  9. So because 1 former player didn't succeed as a coach/hitting coach, then that means McGwire won't either? That makes no sense
  10. I still think we should try to trade Bradley and maybe Heilman for Wood. Eric Wedge hates Milton Bradley. And Aaron Heilman should be non-tendered. Why does it matter Eric Wedge hates Bradley? I wouldnt think Cleveland would care what their fired manager thinks about a player......
  11. Blake Griffin out 6-8 weeks with a broken knee cap. Wow the Clippers have some terrible luck
  12. Damn we open with a bitch of a schedule. Its long overdue for the Bulls to end this Circus trip crap, as it puts them in a major disadvantage to start every season. Found it odd the Bulls named their captains and they are Luol Deng, Hinrich, and......Lindsay Hunter? WTF
  13. And obviously can never improve from his struggles last season. He could improve, but I highly doubt he will. Gut instinct, or do you actually have reasons? I guess you could call it gut instinct if you want, but from everything Ive seen of him, and taking his minor league numbers into account, I dont think he will ever be a servicable ML starting pitcher. I think he could possibly be a decent/good bullpen arm, but as a starter, I dont think he will ever be good enough.
  14. Which Cub fans? The ones who want Ryno to manage and Stone back in the booth? Or The ones who want the Cubs to consider newer ways of thinking? Considering it came from Kaplan, Im guessing option number 1. Very rarely do I agree with anything he says
  15. And obviously can never improve from his struggles last season. He could improve, but I highly doubt he will. The Cubs will probably have him in the rotation to start the season however with the money they have invested in him.
  16. No. Yes. He is not a number 1 CB in this league. you don't get to have an opinion on anything football related anymore. If I cared what you thought, then I'd listen, but since I could give 2 shits what you think, I'll keep posting, thanks.

  18. It wasn't even the worst pass defense in that game. Bowman on the first TD was worse. They were both pretty bad, but man that 2nd TD was horrible.
  19. isn't he a current head coach? Yea in Houston. but in the final year of his contract, I believe? dunno, I've heard a few people talk about him I wanted him last time they had a coaching search. If he became available as an OC I'd jump at the chance. Not sure if that's likely or not. But head coaches going back to coordinator to rehabilitate their image seems to be a popular trend. I would imagine with the way that Houston offense is starting to perform, there is a very very small chance Kubiak isnt back as Head Coach.
  20. Lynch vs Houston Knox vs Cleve Hester vs Cleve Cotchery vs Miami(if he plays) Need 1 and I think Im leaning towards Lynch, but that could be because of the bad taste I have in my mouth about the Bears right now.
  21. Yea Berrian has been a major disappointment this year. I dont know what it is but hes been damn near non-existent all year. Id go with Crabtree
  22. isn't he a current head coach? Yea in Houston.
  23. I still cant believe how bad Ohchocinco made Tillman look on the 2nd TD of the game. That was some of the worst pass defense Ive ever seen from a CB.
