  1. And you're "educated" guess still isn't enough reason to not consider a trade. It would be managerial malpractice to preemptively refuse a conversation. That's the point. This is all I was saying three pages ago when I got jumped in a back alley and left for dead.
  2. Gooooooo Nats Seriously, I would love to play a Dusty team full of quality young pitchers in the NLCS. We already know how that ends.
  3. Don't get me wrong guys. I LOVE Javy. I just believe that if the rest of the league significantly overvalues him, Theo will be smart enough to take advantage of it. And everyone seemed to miss the part where I predicted he will have 6 more game winning RBI this post season.
  4. we're good friends (at least as far as coworkers go). we talk about all kinds of horsefeathers. also we had a weight loss competition type thing once with a bunch of us. and how much RAM did you shed? defrag
  5. I don't like thinking it, and maybe I should've waited until January to say it, but its not wrong. Its bad, but not wrong. There have been a million and a half articles about how the Cubs god-like defense has been on of the major, major reasons that the Cubs have had the success they've had this year. Obviously Baez isn't the sole reason for that, but he's an enormous reason for it. He's continuing to make strides at the plate, and is one of the most fun players in the league to watch play the game. That's not even mentioning the versatility that he brings that Joe absolutely loves. There's zero reason to trade Baez, and thankfully, I don't think Joe or Theo have any interest. I'm confident Theo views him as an asset.
  6. I'm thinking about buying tickets in Washington contingent on a Nats win. Anyone else planning a trip to DC?
  7. all of this is true of any trade. I just think some good offers will be made this offseason if he's made available. If not, of course you keep him and continue to enjoy the awesomeness.
  8. I got my apologetic, soul crushing rejection email today.
  9. Javy is going to get hurt. As he gets older, he'll get hurt more often. Someone is going to try to replicate the Cubs' success next year. They'll target power and defense. Who better to fill those needs than the guys who had a dozen defensive gems and 8 game winning rbi in this postseason? This is a bad opinion. I don't like thinking it, and maybe I should've waited until January to say it, but its not wrong. Its bad, but not wrong.
  10. I think you sell high on Baez this offseason. Reading that week of Javy article cinched it for me. Javy is going to get hurt. As he gets older, he'll get hurt more often. Someone is going to try to replicate the Cubs' success next year. They'll target power and defense. Who better to fill those needs than the guys who had a dozen defensive gems and 8 game winning rbi in this postseason?
  11. It was awful last night. I've never felt so alone.
  12. KB: this is the best win I've ever been a part of.
  13. I really think the Cubs had to remember how to play a game that matter. Final box checked.
  14. Biggest comeback on clinch game in MLB history!
  15. http://en.geek.xyz/images/upload/2016/01/25/8040e96e6ff964e5a5a45a1035028324ce3ea5c8.jpg the things Belding allowed to go on in that school! Where was the PTA?
