  1. Oh man, I remember having his scouting report from B.A. just printed out and carrying it around in my pocket.
  2. For pure, raw excitement about a transaction? Garciaparra is the only comparable I can think of. Non-Cubs division, maybe Hossa.
  3. I just don't see the need on three theo threads when they are all basically the same thing. I thought NSBB was all about less threads. Just an observation that's all. Mods reserve the right to be inconsistent when it's fun. That goes perfectly with your avatar.
  4. That was real emo drama. I was in full-on panic mode when the Flyers won game 4. I think we all were, but you were the one twisting the knife into our abdomens every night while we tried to convince ourselves that we were okay i look back on that as being fun, but in reality that was not fun at all. Just think, in a few years, we'll have this except with the Cubs and also less confusion in the announcing:

  6. He had really counted on money buying immortality, so Jobs' death hit him pretty hard.
  7. Tim can afford the bandwidth. It's cool.
  8. This is like one of those days when you are 13 and your parents aren't home and you keep thinking "I couldn't possibly again" and then the Saved By the Bell with the swimsuit calendar comes on.
  9. It is lightning fast today.
  10. It's so beautiful. http://listverse.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/sjff-01-img0509-1.jpg
  11. Randy Bush appreciates your vote of confidence.
  12. You'll have to forgive Cubs fans for not recognizing competent team management when they see it. How would we recognize it before?
  13. I'm trying to figure out why getting rid of a LFer is necessary to free up a spot for a CFer?
  14. Check them again. If you look closely, all three are Cubs world series rings. I'm assuming there's 4 more on his other hand that isn't pictured. Theo is a Man of Sophistication. Despite having many, many rings to choose from, he only wears three at a time. More would be tacky.

  16. LMAO More like GO YARD LAHAIR, imo.
  17. f-that I want RINGS He's working on it. An image from 2017 or so:
  18. The first one you might be able to make a case for. But the second one? Not a chance. Pure meatheadery. Besides, it's not the specific rings that makes him an awesome candidate. It's the consistent regular season success. Or more specifically, the amazing drafting and trading history.
  19. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1190632/1/index.htm Wow, that's impressive. Let's get this done. That article makes me ashamed I ever had Theo anywhere but No. 1 preference. Theo is the key-o. I better start saving now for all the championship gear I'm going to have to buy.
  20. President of Business Operations, Orphan Punching, and Scamming Old People Out of Their Retirement Money.
  21. In a couple of years, the Cubs are going to have a large, competent development system with an organizational handbook and a coherent, intelligent philosophy. And we're going to have our own proprietary statistical evaluation models. What is the exact name for the Cubs' shade of blue?
