  1. Our entire infield is hurt or slumping and we're still looking at a shot at a 3-2 start.
  2. I'm not sure you couldn't come out ahead just never paying pitchers, ever, for free agent years. three negatives, one sentence...so confused I guess it is a plane crash of a sentence.
  3. I'm not sure you couldn't come out ahead just never paying pitchers, ever, for free agent years.
  4. With Samardzija pitching one of them. Meanwhile, Lillibridge has managed to produce 12 outs in 11 PAs. I literally could have done better.
  5. Alberto Cabrera making it through 6 innings without walking anyone is the most exciting thing that's happened this season.
  6. Keep in mind it was suggested that KC scoreboard radar readings might be a tad slow because of both starters FB reading yesterday. I'm skeptical of that explanation. Guys just throw a bit slower in the first start in April.
  7. Look, we needed a reserve infielder and he was already in Dale Sveum's datebook. What more do you want from them?
  8. If someone misses home plate we'll have the cycle.
  9. Stood there and gave the umpire a jerk smile like it was a bad call, but it couldn't have been more down the middle.
  10. Get your glove down *and* get your body in front of it. I didn't mean it as an either/or, Castillo.
  11. Leadoff walk, infielder who is only employed for his defense can't handle a simple steal defense, catcher who keeps trying to hero-play the short-hop instead of getting his glove down finally gets burned on it, then Hairston shows off a total rag-arm. Good team effort on that run.
  12. Or maybe Upton crushed his moreso than Castro, Sori, or Castillo did? Two of the three hit it farther, I think.
  13. He would have deserved a HR more if he'd just missed the ball and gotten some loft on it. Hitting it too square means he is undeserving.
  14. Why? Seeing the Uptons right now hurts like watching Cespedes. Who would we have traded for Justin? Baez.
  15. He bats right but throws left. That's stupid and not my fault for getting it wrong.
  16. That's our anti-lefty lineup. Surely a mistake?
  17. http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/1301/numlocationio.png That looks much better than his first outing. There's a lot of good pitches there.
  18. Just looking at the PitchFX data, I had no idea that Marmol was hitting 94 and averaging a 93.3 MPH on his fastball. This isn't like last year when the stuff just wasn't there. I'm inclined to see him try to work out of it in low-leverage situations before just setting him on fire.
  19. All it takes is one judge with a weird interpretation. I'm guessing a lot of the language is vague because hammering it out would have made it harder to reach a deal and that was future people's problem.
  20. Well that settles that. The platoon plan is officially a failure.
  21. Two hits on 19 BIP isn't helping, or whatever it is.
