  1. I hope the power and defense are there for Castro this season, because he definitely does not have an improved approach.
  2. I don't even know where to look these numbers up, but I'd bet that it's been a problem the last few seasons. Every set of fans in baseball would say the same thing.
  3. "We can't get runners home with less than 2 outs" is now going to be a thing all season, even if they never fail at it again.
  4. You have to pinch-hit here. You cannot allow Gonzalez to take this at bat.
  5. Way to battle before showing how worthless you are, Lililbridge. Nice change of pace from your usual one-pitch out or three-pitch flailing K. Showing your famous versatility. I'm guessing Hoyer realizes what a mistake Lillibridge is and attempts to rectify it after the game by acquiring three more fourth outfielders.
  6. Bases loaded, one out, highest leverage situation of the game. And looks who is up. I hate him so much.
  7. You're a catcher. Don't even flinch. Mineaswell call that a strike, too, ump.
  8. Neither of those pitchers were strikes. @#$%@#%
  9. Exactly as advertised. Awesome for awhile, then in the fourth he just completely lost it and had no idea where the ball was going.
  10. Seriously. That first strike that Hairston just fouled off was the hangiest hanging curve that ever hanged hangily. We just continually let him get away with bad pitches.
  11. I love how Soriano can look so terrible on a few pitches, then suddenly foul a bunch off, and finally hit the first line drive of the night.
  12. Well, that's not good. Rizzo hit in the helmet.
  13. There have been tons of high fastballs and hanging breaking balls this game. Cubs just haven't hit any of them hard.
  14. Rondon was throwing 88-89 MPH according to the TV gun. That's not ideal.
  15. One-pitch fly out for Lillibridge. So much hate.
  16. That could have been worse. Wandy Rodriguez is in no way pitching well enough to be shutting us out, so please score some runs.
  17. Do we employ a pitching coach? Because Jackson has completely lost it this inning and surely there's something a coach can say or try.
  18. If this was Wrigley in June with the wind blowing out, we'd be winning 11-1 already.
  19. 31 pitches through 2 for Rodriguez, 27 for Jackson. If this part of the lineup can just make him throw like 4 pitchers per PA, I'll bet happy.
  20. McCutchen is begging for an ACL tear with catches like that.
  21. Apparently McCutchen hit his first HR of the 2010 and 2012 seasons against Jackson.
  22. I love how solid our nothing innings can be right now. Not much of anything happened, but he threw 18 pitches and Rodriguez was fooling no one.
