  1. I'll credit him for that one. Good QBs do that a lot.
  2. I've frequently criticized Fields for not hitting tight windows, but that was downright Cutlerian. He did it there.
  3. Down by contact. It got ripped after his knee hit.
  4. I hate with a passion that we're building toward another iteration of Bear Football where we play defense and run the ball. But if we're gonna do it, at least we seem to be doing it fairly well lately.
  5. That was a pretty cool play design
  6. Nope. Texans were 1-12-1 and the Bears were 3-11. Then the Texans won 2 of their last 3 to drop to second.
  7. Texans seemed the same way at this point last year
  8. As of this moment, Carolina loses SOS tiebreaker .525 to .524.
  9. Nothing. You can use it if you want. It's true that 10A is relatively recent and seems to have spread everywhere. That's just how language happens.
  10. It isn't. You may find it unclear, but it isn't ambiguous.
  11. "first pick" is ambiguous because people also use it to refer to their team's first pick of the draft.
  12. I have never once, nor will I ever, care what PFF has to say. Braxton Jones is not a top-10 tackle.
  13. I understand that Jones has been kinda ok and decent value for his draft spot. But if we are in position to take an elite potential LT, which there to be two of in this draft, take one.
  14. Of the 14 teams currently in a playoff spot, the Jags, Chiefs and Dolphins picked their own QB in the top 10. The Lions traded their former 1OA for someone else's former 10A. The Colts' first-round starter got hurt and now they have a random veteran backup that has started most of their games. The Steelers, Ravens and Packers picked their own QB later in the first round. The Cowboys, Falcons, Eagles and 49ers drafted their own QB later. The Browns, and Vikings went outside the organization.
  15. Why would we be trading down?
  16. I still think young can get a little more patience. Not a lot. I'd be very nervous if I were a Carolina fan but it's still only 3/4ths of a rookie season. He really looks like he's having trouble processing what he's seeing because he just can't see over the lines
  17. Carolina's sos has shot up, it used to seem safe they had that tiebreaker but now I'm not sure
  18. Whoever faced the weaker schedule. Right now it's very close (.525 for Carolina, .529 for the Patriots.) Carolina's remaining schedule is currently 29-29 by my count, Patriots 31-28. I thought it was much more in Carolinas favor than that, it's really shifted
  19. They're just about a mortal lock to lose out you have to think
  20. I do worry that ownership favors executives who give them the right coach-speak about Tough, Bear Football.
  21. To summarize for me: Fields - has to go if we have a top 2 pick. Or if we can find a decent veteran. Might very reluctantly keep it everything fizzles but that would be a bad thing. Getsy - it's a coordinator wtf cares, fire him into the sun or don't, QB play will matter way more. Eberflus - would be pretty disappointed if we kept him Poles - wouldn't hate to see him gone because I feel like he's building a dumb Bear Football team instead of a modern actually good NFL team, but I'll reluctantly admit there's a chance the job he is doing is well-regarded in a year or two
  22. I will be sad if we keep eberflus.
  23. Fortunately getting rid of the bad QB and trying to find a good one is both the best way to secure his job *and* the right thing for the team long-term.
