  1. Like... at what point does running the table stop being a meme?
  2. Sweat is performing at like a 25-sack-per-season pace as a Bears. Yeah I think nobody will complain about the cost if he keeps that up.
  3. I think technically there's some *very* thin scenarios where they get in at 8-9, but the loss has to be today.
  4. I'm genuinely surprised at how much. The defense was trending positively, but he's been way better than I expected.
  5. They're mostly healthy at the right time.
  6. It's so funny how the turning points never feel like turning points when they happen.
  7. Forget 2006. This is giving me 2001 Bears vibes.
  8. Lucas patrick does suck but he had zero chance on that play
  9. Yeah I think I probably would have kicked it there but that's a situation that ends in the same result 98% of the time and people will focus on it too much, leading to the feeling that coaching is more important than it is.
  10. I did think Fields looked low-key adequate getting the drive to that point.
  11. how long would the attempt have been?
  12. This is the exact sort of football I worried Poles was building toward since his first day-1 draft. But at least we're getting a good version of it, it's more fun to watch than going 3-14.
  13. He got a gimme TD drive from the turnover to balance out the bomb drop, and he got a hail Mary INT to balance out the dropped INTs earlier. Seems karmically fair to me. 12-for-21, 101 yards passing, 1 TD, 1 INT, 2 rushing yards, 1 fumble
  14. The one thing Fields actually has improved on this season is taking checkdowns.
  15. Yeah, Brisker played that perfectly. He had his arm in there trying to dislodge the ball the whole way down. Sometimes the other guy just makes a great play.
  16. We lost the toss, but point taken.
  17. This is exactly what I was expecting. Bad QB play, propped up by good defense, and a chunk of the fandom unable to realize that.
  18. We're closing in on halftime and he's 5-for-11 for 56 yards. At least two of those 11 throws were brutally inaccurate.
  19. We have one touchdown on a ball the defense gifted him at the two.
  20. You could see Fields is being more conscious of keeping two hands on the football when he's scrambling like that. Nice throw too.
  21. Ideally, Fields gets the gift TD pass here and then the books will be balanced on the drop.
