Listening to the Blues' fans get a goalie chant going on a goalie who has been really good gives me my first reason to enjoy their disappointment when they get knocked out.
What in the actual F was that Leddy. If you are going to rush like that, don't take a wild, pointless shot that is begging to be taken back the other way.
It should be a *little* bit of a concern. We've got lots of experience with high-K% in the minors meaning holes in the swing that upper-level pitchers exploit with more consistency, causing a total collapse of performance. But he's got all the traits you could want in a high-K player.
I can't be worried about it because I'm too worried about Baez's whiffing, Almora's allergy to walks, Soler's absence, Edwards' shoulder and Vogelbach's general suckiness (until the last two days). Bryant has been the bright spot.
I think we can find a middle ground between throwing out 43 at-bats (which actually do carry some interesting information peripherally) and being full-blown worried.
He literally quit on his team mid-season. That's supposed to be the ultimate no-no. How do people not get that? He signed the richest contract in baseball, then quit because his old lady stepped out on him. Same reason Zambrano's the worst guy who ever lived but we slobber over the dead knob of a guy who choked out a pizza vendor for heckling him.
We do, we just draft them en masse in the later rounds. It'll start to work eventually, but in the mean time they need to hit on trades and free agents and not have too many of the few upper-level guys we have flame out.
