    i can tell you that is a mistake. the second part anyway. good luck with step 1 I've also been hanging around executions. I'm going to be honest, I don't know a lot about you, so this plan is kind of inefficient.

    Luis Valbuena has pretty much matched his production if not exceeded it over the last couple of years. 8.0 fWAR to 4.7 over the last two seasons, which is the most Valbuena-favorable endpoint you could pick. Plus Valbuena is the best 2b we currently have.

    What does it matter if he decides today or in two weeks? It's not like spring training starts tomorrow. What does it matter where he signs? It's not life changing. In 100 years we'll all be dead.

    If Lester does sign elsewhere, I won't even rage because I'd rather trade for a younger pitcher anyway. But then when we don't do that I will smolder with impotent rage.

    The Yankees farm system is improving after spending a ton of money on it lately. They just don't see the need to sit back and do nothing while they wait for it. They did finish just five games out last year of the playoffs, and Fangraphs projects them five games ahead of the Cubs.
