  1. My inherent doom boner wants to focus on how the defense lacks an elite pass rush threat, but mostly I'm just excited about this team as-is. I expect the offense to be explosive and then who cares about defense?
  2. Eh not too bad Next years 2nd round pick is enormous if this team isn't a 9+ win team this year. May Mitchy T forgive you for your doubting nature.
  3. I love picking offensive linemen high. When you get a good one, they last forever, and they're reasonably important.
  4. I don't actually have any idea how good these players will be but defense is dumb and pointless.
  5. They should make these guys run a drill or something instead of interviewing them.
  6. I just can't imagine taking a running back at 2. The long-term upside isn't there.
  7. Booing commissioners is my favorite modern fan trend.
  8. I remember always arguing Kyle over him. Also, I forgot my password and I think i just logged in for the first time in a year. Whoops. I was still reading from afar. I will never stop alternating between thinking he's about to bust and thinking he's about to become A-Rod.
  9. Also you know he's one of those guys who is going to hit 300 pounds within two years of retirement. Let him have his brief, sexy prime.
  10. That's not even a good fake name.
  11. I see that when a Cubs pitcher gives up solo home runs, sequencing is now a skill and not fortunate variance.
  12. Being professional pitchers with 2000 innings on their arms is a pretty good argument for perpetually looking for reasons to be concerned about them.
  13. CF Jeter, was that Kyle who use to say he was going to be our Jeets? Yeah but I mostly meant it as a dig.
  14. I have been feeling a little 90s nostalgic. A season of the Cubs sucking with Javy chasing some kind of HR record would be a nice change of pace from all these playoffs.
  15. Huh. Apparently I missed a lot in the last hour or so.
  16. Arrieta was a fluke and Theo doesn't understand pitching and never will.
  17. I mean, sure, I've seen people mention the passed balls and plain inability to catch pitches sometimes but I don't recall anyone specifically talking about his lack of framing skills. People talk about it all the time. Wait. Is Miguel Montero not still our catcher?
  18. *checks score, sees boring things are still happening, will check back again in a week*
  19. It's the release that kills me. The speed with which he goes backhand-to-forehand and flicks his wrists, while still getting that much on the shot, was Javy-esque.
  20. Panarin with a gross OT winner in game 1. Capitals gonna Capital
  21. So what are the chances that 81-81 is good enough for one of the wild cards?
  22. That's pretty clearly a construction worker.
