    My inherent doom boner wants to focus on how the defense lacks an elite pass rush threat, but mostly I'm just excited about this team as-is. I expect the offense to be explosive and then who cares about defense?

    I love picking offensive linemen high. When you get a good one, they last forever, and they're reasonably important.

    I have been feeling a little 90s nostalgic. A season of the Cubs sucking with Javy chasing some kind of HR record would be a nice change of pace from all these playoffs.

    I mean, sure, I've seen people mention the passed balls and plain inability to catch pitches sometimes but I don't recall anyone specifically talking about his lack of framing skills. People talk about it all the time. Wait. Is Miguel Montero not still our catcher?

    It's the release that kills me. The speed with which he goes backhand-to-forehand and flicks his wrists, while still getting that much on the shot, was Javy-esque.
