  1. This is the Fieldsiest he's ever looked.
  2. Give your receivers a chance and throw it up into a 1-on-1 when they blitz like that. He's transforming into Fields before our eyes.
  3. I'm less worried about the throws than the reads. One or two bad throws that half wouldn't seem so crushing if the rest of the offense wasn't so dysfunctional. But the reads are killing me. The second down play on the opening drive where he had two checkdown options and he just stared at the deep developing route that never came was the most Fieldsian he's ever looked. At this point the lack of interceptions are a concern. He's crossed the line from good throwaways in tough situations to being completely unwilling to give his receivers a chance.
  4. It's not zero on the offensive line. But the biggest share of blame is always QB. Caleb Williams just hasn't been elevating anyone. He needs to be more decisive and more dynamic. Even his completions have been one-read training wheels plays.
  5. They seriously might lose out.
  6. OK that draw play is the moment it turned to funny
  7. The funniest thing is that I think there's like a 20% chance that Poles is so committed to the slow build and stability concept that no one gets fired even if they lose out
  8. If the offense can't snap out of it and win this game for us, I don't want to win it.
  9. DJ Moore giving a masterclass this season in why you don't give guaranteed money to guys in their late 20s when you don't need to.
  10. It's 3rd and 10. Throw a ball into coverage and try to let your WR make a play
  11. We are two injuries away from a TE playing OL
  12. Keenan Allen is so slow that you can come back to him as a third read and hit him as he breaks on the slant
  13. I think that's an intentional overthrow?
  14. Maybe something crazy will happen. Maybe the defense will get/stay healthy and miraculously keep us in the games. Maybe the offense will snap out of it. But right now I think the most likely result is 3 divisional beatings in 11 days and it's going to completely break the will of the fanbase that I honestly thought was already broken.
  15. I would like to see them call the Patriots LT for going early
  16. He's a remarkably talented RB who happens to be completely hole-blind
  17. Even if that one guy doesn't jump the route, Keenan Allen completely whiffed his block too
  18. I haven't flip flopped at all. I think he's an elite QB prospect, the best we've ever had, and is at least a Dalton-line QB in the NFL right now. What's confusing you is that I don't feel the need to protect that opinion by not calling bad plays bad.
  19. I'm starting to see him as streaky. He's either feeling good or he's not, and it can snowball in either direction.
  20. I would bet a lot of money that we open the drive after the pick with a play action deep shot that is 5 yards past hte receiver.
  21. At this point I'd like to see some picks from Williams instead of eating sacks.
  22. First sack was 100% on Williams. Second one I'm 50/50 on, I'll need to see the video. We're having to keep a lot of help in to block, which makes coverage so much easier on the defense.
  23. Caleb Williams choked 2nd down and Rome Odunze choked 3rd.
  24. Williams kills the drive with a completely unneccessary Fieldsian sack. Taylor with another bad punt. Fun fun fun
