    Okay, even worse, FSSW is showing Texas vs. Texas A&M women's basketball. I'd rather poke my eyes out. 2:00 left, and I think they are actually going to preempt the start of the game for this rubbish. That must be why my usual reliable feed hookup isn't working.

    I bet you'd be hard pressed to find an actual example of someone saying Huet sucks in this thread. There are probably a few, but they aren't plentiful.

    I'm still not convinced Maddux will be all that great as a pitching coach. "Now, what you want to do on a 1-1 count to this hitter is throw a four-seamer exactly 1.72 inches off the outside corner. He'll foul it off, but now you've got him set up to throw the next one 1.78 inches off the outside corner and he'll ground it to second."

    I think the sad fact is that as long as LeBron is in the East and the management that has him is remotely competent, the Bulls will never be favorites.

    Damn. The more options in the market (on either lines) the better for the Bears. Maybe the Bears are one of the unnamed teams he's interested in being traded to. Only if they're swapping over to a 3-4 defense. :D I would be so down with that.

    "How does a goalie become a bad fit for a team? Is this some sort of groundball pitcher on a team with bad defenders thing, or a slinging QB on a team that only runs? I don't get it." Huet's style is to give up big rebounds but stop anything he can see. In the playoffs, he'll need a big, strong defense to keep the front of the net clear. The Blackhawks have a smaller, less physical defense based on positioning and clearing the puck efficiently, but not so good at clearing the front of the net. Bad fit.

    There is a pretty big difference between "I'd rather see Khabi out there than Huet" and "Oh god, we have to watch Huet flopping around out there tonight...great". Look through the thread. It's even been admitted by a poster that he irrationally hates Huet. Two, at least. I hate Huet and I accept that he's an above average goalie. He's also a bad fit for this team and has a huge mistake of a contract that we will regret very soon. Sounds like a great game tonight, though. Got in the car just in time to hear the radio highlights.

    Right back atcha. Young cores develop into 55-win teams that go out in the second round every year and draft in the late teens, never getting anywhere. It's NBA purgatory, and the Bulls would still be there if they hadn't lucked into Rose.

    A 40-win team with Garnett is a good offseason away from contention. A 50-win team with the young talent the Bulls had is ... well, still trying to find a big man like Garnett to put them in contention.

    Gotta thank you for putting this link up. My new home jersey just came today and I love it. They're still on sale, but for $56 now. Glad I got on that when I did. Damn, I have been thinking about getting one but wanted to wait. I was thinking about getting one but they are hideous. For all intents and purposes, you're Canadian, so you'll forgive us Americans if we don't value your opinion too highly on this issue. :wink: I may have a Canadian flag in my living room, but I have a Sam's Army card in my wallet.
