    The answer to "what gives?" could be the strong possibility of a rookie salary cap being written into the new CBA beginning in 2011. This may be guys last chance to get big bucks with a rookie contract. While if he jumps back into the first round next year, he would still make more than he will this year, even if they do institute a rookie cap, but if he stays the same, he might cost himself a great deal of money. I'm not saying that has anything do to with it, but it might.

    All of the ESPN guys except Jaws are picking the Cowboys which is pretty much the opposite of how they picked last week. I'll admit I'm feeling pretty confident, but this is the NFL so I know that anything can happen. It's hard not to be excited though with the way the Cowboys have played over the past three weeks.

    I'm happy to see Dawson get in because I liked him as a player, though I'm not sure he deserved it. I can't believe Alomar and Larkin didn't make it as they should have been no-brainers.

    Damn am I tired at work after not getting back from Dallas until almost midnight...but holy hell was that a great game. And I'll be back for Dallas-Philly round three on Saturday.

    To be honest, considering we were dead-set on gettin rid of Bradley and Cameron was already gone, Byrd at 3/15 was probably about as good as we could have hoped.

    The biggest impact in my opinion is that it makes it possible for the Cowboys to get the #2 seed. :D

    So your telling me there's a chance. Giants play at 12, so we will know before kickoff at least. Yeah. And there's no way we'll play the Eagles in Philly the first weekend. If we lose to Philly, we'll travel to Minnesota. If we win, we will host Philly or the Packers or maybe...just maybe have the number two seed. Rooting for the Giants makes me throw-up in my mouth, but I can do it.

    Yes! Three things must happen for the Cowboys to get the number 2 seed. Beat Philly. Giants beat Vikings. Packers beat Cardinals.

    Thats the wrong mindset, Cowboys are pulling the 2 seed. it's much more likely that the eagles would pull the 2 seed. Not after they lose to the Cowboys

    Thats the wrong mindset, Cowboys are pulling the 2 seed. I would love that to happen, but for it to happen---we need the Vikings to lose out and Green Bay to beat Arizona.
