  1. I have a Diamond Jaxx jersey worn by Juan Mateo if anyone is interested...
  2. NBA is completely different. Avery last year took the first seed in the playoffs last year and coached them to a first round exit. This year everyone again picked them in the first round and they still lost. Any owner would have fired Avery. In addition, there was a lot of rumors that the Mavericks players had started to tune Avery out. Also, while Avery had the Mavericks playing well in the regular season, he was routinely out coached in the playoffs.
  3. I'd go ahead and grab Max if you can.
  4. that is quite a stretch. Thank You. I mean Ronny Cedeno has had a good run so far, but Hardy did it for over AT LEAST half a season. Hardy is not a good hitter. I think 336 and over 1000 major league AB's is enough for us to make that assertion. Now, since he's only 25, I will leave room that he could have a couple of good seasons with the bat. I'm not saying Cedeno is as good as he's looked, because he's probably not. But Hardy's MLB line is 261/320/418. He's only had one season where he finished with a 100 OPS+. Every other year, he's below average with the bat. He's talented enough to have stretches where he looks very good, but Hardy really isn't anything special. If Cedeno makes the proper adjustments, he should hit at least as well as Hardy.
  5. Personally, I don't think Wilkerson ever recovered fully from his shoulder injuries.
  6. It also appeared that Cuban had tempered his remarks some in the interview last night. In past interviews, he came off more brash, as if he had a plan and MLB would be ignorant not to let him in. Last night, he claimed MLB was doing fine without him, and seemed to concede that he wouldn't need to come in and make a bunch of changes. He did say that he felt when smart people got together, things could happen. I've always been a huge proponent of Cuban owning the Cubs. I've also been pessimistic that the good ole boys network would let him in. I hope that it's changing.
  7. the Brewers play defense about as badly as the Bengals do in football.
  8. Now, let's hope Dempster does as well as he did in the first.
  9. Freel is hitting 292/327/354 and is sitting so Corey Patterson 213/281/475 can start. Gotta love some Dusty. So Patterson has a better OPS, and is a far better baserunner and defender. Keep. Reaching. I don't have to reach to know Dusty is a bad manager and the Reds will be under 500 at the end of the season. Then just post that and stop looking for crap to blame on Dusty that isn't really there. I'll post whatever I want. Dusty is bad manager and I'll crticize him when I feel like it. Go back to the Redszone if you don't like it. Fine Vance, if you want to post crap and look for reasons to blame Dusty, go ahead. Yes, that is your right. You are wrong, but that's never stopped you from posting before. How do you feel about his daughter? I had to tell him to stop calling her. She's too young for him, even if she's a little more mature.

You are wrong, but that's never stopped you from posting before. Ha, ha. whatever. I don't have to look for reasons to blame Dusty. He's horrible. The record of his stupidity is clear. And right now, Freel is the hot hand. Sitting him so Patterson can play is stupid. But Patterson is fast, so he should be a lead-off hitter. Freel can play lots of positions so he should be a utility player. That's the way things are in Dusty's world. It will only get worse. Sooner or later, Bako will get cold, but he's still going to get his starts. That's the Dusty way. Ignore it if you want, but Dusty sucks and so do the Reds. After this year, Dunn will be gone and the Reds will be worse than they are now.
  11. We really don't have many better options on the farm to replace him with. I'd give him until June to show something. If he doesn't, there will be plenty of teams unloading players who can fill his role at the deadline.
