    I'm thoroughly confused then. Lets say Cedeno is sent down, does he have to pass revocable waivers? How about Mitre or any of the other players with options? It looks like I need to retract my argument earlier with 10 man. The difference between Cedeno/Mitre and Cpatt is that Cpatt has a ton more service time than they do. Cedeno and Mitre can just be optioned down because they don't have enough service time. I don't know the specifics of it though, i.e. how much service time you have to have.

    A starting rotation of Prior, Z, Wood, Williams, and Hill works for me. Keep Aram, Barrett, Lee, Cedeno, Dempster, and Wuertz. Everyone else can go.

    Heh heh, good try though :D I know, right? People weren't exactly in a froth, posting all night about this. I'm shocked this thread has so many responses actually. It's not like the Nomar trade... I think Tree needs to make a Photo Shop story to get this thing rolling. Can Murton play Jesus this time??? :D

    I don't doubt that if Corey had been placed on irrevocable waivers, some team would have taken a chance on him and would have been willing to pay his salary to get him. He made it through waivers because he was placed on revocable waivers. Hendry could have just pulled him back if someone tried to claim him.

    If we still had Chad Fox we'd probably be in 1st place in the division. It was a huge loss for us. Rodgers is the greatest writer evar!!!!11

    I say good luck Corey. I expect a trade demand in the next week or two from you, and that last night was probably the last night for you in a Chicago Cubs' uniform. And if Pie gets brought up after he's healthy to add a "spark", I'm going to be pretty upset. :evil:

    I lost all faith in the current regime when Cedeno was called up to not play. I see no reason why Hendry/Baker would treat Murton and Greenberg any differently. And if that's the case, this is a complete waste of time and I hope the Tribune decides to bring in some other people to run this team.

    This better be the beginning of the kids getting a chance to play. Cedeno, Murton, and Greenburg better get at-bats on a regular basis. Otherwise this is a complete waste, and I'll have lost even more respect for this organization.

    I really really hope the Cubs don't bring up Pie when he's healthy.

    With everything I've read/heard in the past couple of days, it definitely sounds like the Cubs thought about bringing up Pie before he got hurt. Hopefully his injury is a blessing in disguise and the Cubs leave him in AA.

    Wow. I have to say that this comes as a big shock. I don't know what to think about this move. I hope that Murton gets a chance in LF, but I doubt it. I really have to wonder what's going on. I'm at a loss.

    Hopefully when I come to Wrigley next weekend the Cubs will have a new manager. Can the All-Star break come any faster? :wall:

    I know he threw the meatball on a 0-2 count, but shouldn't Barrett or mgmt get some of the blame for calling for that pitch? That's not where Barrett set up to catch it. Where did he set-up? outside corner? He was calling for the ball way up and in. Novoa threw it right down the middle.
