  1. if they both got hits back to back, Lee would probably faint at the sight of two potential RBI's not including the pitcher being on base I think all of us would faint if we won the lottery. Pretty much the same odds. :D
  2. I guess Dusty didn't read the article. He still has Cpatt and Neifi hitting at the top of the order today. :x

  4. Alright, which one of you broke the board?? :D
  5. D Lee is winning the all-star balloting now by 49,000. That's awesome.
  6. Offense needs a big day today. They've been lacking the past 4 or 5 days.
  7. Well, looks like Cedeno won't get any playing time for a while...
  8. Isn't there another lefty on the mound? I don't know that Dusty has played him against Southpaws. Walker is 5 for 10 against lefties so far this year. His 3-year splits show his BA is about .05 points lower against the lefty than righties though.
  9. He's been boycotting the media all season long. I guess the camera people didn't get the message. :D Didn't he just break his non-pitching hand after punching a wall? Seems like he needs some anger-management courses.
  10. Tommorow I think we'll see Cedeno starting at SS. We'll also see Hairston starting either in CF or at 2B depending on which lefty Dusty wants to give the day off. I figure Walker will probably be the one who sits. Dubois will be starting in RF.
  11. The biggest problem I see is that there are a lot of teams who are going to consider themselves buyers who need a corner outfielder. We could give Cincy a bunch of prospects, but you really have to wonder if they'd trade Dunn to someone in their own division when there are 4-5 other teams that are looking to trade for him.
  12. This thread needs a bump. It's gotten way to far down. For the first time in what seems like weeks D Lee came up with a runner on first base. Dusty either called for Neifi to steal or allowed Neifi to steal. Neifi gets thrown out to end the inning. D Lee finally gets to come up to bat with someone on base, and the coaching staff takes the bat right out of his hand. Complete joke. :wall:
  13. Although... When did he say that? In this article. A quote from that article: So basically Cedeno will be lucky if he gets 1-2 starts a week. What a waste. :wall:
  14. Although... When did he say that?
  15. You forgot to add "if he gets traded."
  16. Just leave it man. The WGN is dead. It already has an orange sticker on it. The wrecker is on the way. I'm in!!!
  17. That's so funny you said that. Bruce Miles has an article up today that talks about Mench from the Rangers and how he'd be a good fit for the Cubs, and how the Rangers need pitching desperately. I know he's a member here. I think he's been doing some research on this website. :D More power to him. :D Here's the article: The Name Game
  18. More speculation about Kotsay: Kotsay Center of Trade Speculation If they know the 1-2 combination at the top of the lineup is a problem, why haven't they put Walker and Barrett up there already instead of Neifi and Corey?
  19. That's if Dusty uses Kotsay and T. Walk at the top of the order. He's already shown that he'd rather have Corey and Neifi at the top instead of Walker. I really wonder if he'd put Kotsay and Walker at the top of the lineup. Also, I think there is a little adjustment that would go on if Corey moved to LF. Corey is a great enough athlete to make that adjustment though. I still don't see him being on the team if the Cubs get Kotsay.
  20. A quote from this NY Post article: I don't really see Corey being on this team if Hendry does go out and get Kotsay. Just Kotsay doesn't really bring enough of an impact to help us. If Hendry goes out and trades for Kotsay then Corey is on his way out of town.
  21. Corey has to actually be on base to steal one. He's only getting on base 29% of the time right now.
  22. Agreed. Dusty should have just stayed in bed today.
  23. And I've definitely read an interview with Oneri that said the same thing at the beginning of the year. Touche. :D
  24. Don't know if her information is completely up to date. :? He's not ready for a game yet for sure. The article from InsidetheIvy.com said he was just starting his throwing program again. It should be a while before he's game ready.
  25. With 10 game days beginning this Friday at Yankee Stadium, that would mean someone will have to start 2 more times in his place while he continues to rehab. Please no more Koronka...
