    The Cubs trump all, even Jack Bauer. I have never seen an episode of 24 so I guess it is not a big deal to me. 24 sucks. Yeah, I said it.

    If that's the case, then why come up with the underarm discomfort? Just flat out say that Woody didn't feel like pitching after his buddy died. If anyone slams him for that, they have issues. Concocting an arm injury story only fans the flames. the cubs media relations are truly horrible if this rumor is true. Why? That's none of our business. And it's not like they said that he was delayed because of an arm-related issue. If this was a factor, I'm guessing it was a combination of the two. Yeah, but if that was the case and he was just too broken up to pitch, then tell us he had the stomach flu or something. Don't tell us he had a problem with his arm, no matter how small it may be. We've heard enough about arm/shoulder problems to last us a lifetime.

    It's sad to say this, but I'm glad this is Woody's last year on his contract. I hope the Cubs decline his option and let him go.

    Thought I'd dust off this thread after the double-switching yesterday that took our two best hitters, Murton and Walker, out of the lineup in the 5th inning. Great move Dusty.

    So we're last in walks and 2nd to last in OBP, but Clines and Sarge want probably our most patient hitter at this point (Murton) to be more aggressive. We're never going to be good until Hendry, Baker, and company realize the importance of a walk, which means we'll probably never be good.

    Gotta love Dusty taking out Walker. He's the best hitter on the team right now, so he subs Neifi in for him?

    I want to hop on this bandWGN. I think Craig Wilson would be a realistic option for 1b for a while, and could play RF when Lee comes back. Jones just isn't cutting it. I'd love to have Cabrera, Dunn, Abreu, etc., but I just don't think those are realistic.

    Heaven forbids we have a guy on the team who sees more than 2 pitches per at-bat. Here's to hoping Murton doesn't listen to his coaches.

    I predict that Pujols hits 4 homeruns off of fat Glendon today. Figures the Cards first baseman is on fire while ours gets put on the shelf after a freak accident. :x
