    I'm glad the Cubs finally seem to be interested in the Japanese market. I'm sure Vance will be excited about the news of going after Fukudome.

    I can't really vote because I don't like them at any size. I always have avatars and signatures turned off. They're too distracting and pointless IMO.

    I don't know where all this power is coming from Fuld, but he's always been one of those guys who hits for a pretty decent average and knows how to take a walk or two. I could see him maybe making the team as a 25th man who can play all the outfield positions, but I don't see him competing for a starting CF job.

    I think Marquis playing for the Yankees would be hilarious. Of course, he'd need to hire a full-time body guard because Yankee fans would probably kill him. I don't think it's going to be that easy trading Marquis without picking up quite a bit of his salary. Just another reason why Hendry needs to go. He keeps giving these outrageous contracts to crappy players instead of investing that money in actual talent.

    there's really no point in discussing this with michigan fans... other B11 can see it but michigan fans never will I don't doubt that Michigan is getting away with some holds, but for people to complain about it in this game when MSU has done absolutely NOTHING in the game is asinine.

    If you really think this is why Michigan is kicking our butts, please take a seat in the losers section. Not at all however, for the last two weeks I've watched Michigan' opposition get called for holding while they continue to drag defenders to the ground without a call. Its a losers mentality. Michigan is beating us for reasons like, our stupid penalities, Hoyer not being very good, our lack of running game. If you are waiting for the refs win the game for us, please become a Penn St fan. waiting for an evenly officiated game =/= waiting for officials to win you a game OR MAKING EXCUSSES FOR LOSING dude there's a reason that michigan state fans are wondering about the officiating in this game, and illinois fans a couple of weeks ago, and penn state fans, and northwestern fans... because they all are teams that need everything to go right to win ball games?

Not at all however, for the last two weeks I've watched Michigan' opposition get called for holding while they continue to drag defenders to the ground without a call. better get used to it... i've been waiting for it to change for five years; i've just accepted that michigan is going to get the calls and if you want to beat them, you're going to have to overcome that ahhhh stupid navy missing the extra point It's okay Truffle. Penn State will beat Michigan someday...

    I'm so tired of watching Michigan run the same 8 plays all game long. Open up the offense already. There are a bunch of weapons at WR and it looks like Hart is injured again.

    Michigan has dominated the game so far, and you're complaining about holding. How about complaining about the fact that MSU hasn't done anything on offense since the opening drive.

    I think it might be best to just change it to "other teams." All Cubs' related stuff goes in either Baseball Discussions or Transactions, while anything about an other team goes in Other Teams.

    I'm in agreement. It needs to go. There are too many threads that end up as duplicates and too many new "rivalries" that the Cubs seem to come up with.

    I think it would be great if Lou/Hendry went into the season saying that Pie, Murton, and Soto were the starters. I would love to see what these 3 could do without having to worry about looking over their shoulder at some crappy veteran who might take their spot if they don't produce right away. I do agree that we need an offensive upgrade at at least 1 position, and I would like to see that come at SS. I don't think Arod is an option because of his cost, but I think Tejada will be a target for Hendry this offseason. Another name I've seen talked about is Jhonny Peralta from the Indians. He'd be a solid upgrade over Theriot. I would expect an upgrade at another position as well if Peralta was brought in because I don't think he's enough of an upgrade alone to make this offense good enough to compete for a World Series. I'd probably be willing to trade Murton out of the 3 "rookies" if that meant an upgrade in RF as well. I just don't think Murton is in the Cubs plans, so I think he's the most likely to be traded.
