  2. I really really want to see the Cubs win again. This season.
  3. Off to work. Only 11 more hours til I get to watch the game. This will be the longest night of work ever. Pleeeaaase win Cubs
  4. Brewers defense is awesome. If the Cubs make it to the second round, I hope to Soto it's to face the Brewers.
  5. The 2006 team only won like 32 games. No way Geo played on that team. But seriously, he didn't. Debuted in September of last year, candidate for ROY this year. 2006 was a Barrett year.
  6. Camo shirt, camo pants, black undershirt, combat boots. Stupid Air Force forgot about the playoffs. I'll have a Cubs shirt on under it all, but it won't be the same.
  7. Also, who wants to do shots for every time they mention Bartman during tonight's broadcast?? :good:
  8. Less than 12.5 hours left. October is going by sloooowwwwwwly
  9. Ha... Same, except I totally don't remember scoring in game 6 at all. I didn't think that game ever happened. There was a scoreboard error in game 6, giving the Cubs three extra runs to start the game. A scoreless pitcher's duel ensued for 7 innings, until the umpires realized the error and suspended play to fix the problem. As we know, manual operation results in that scoreboard running a little slower than normal, so any day now, they expect the problem to be resolved so they can resume the series.
  10. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Ahem. Yes, that would be it.
  11. Winner gets to lose to Tampa later this week. I doubt today's outcome has much relevance beyond that, but I'll give an ambivalent "Go Twins."
  12. I'm not sure why I can't quit laughing at this. I just can't.
  13. Brewers are an incredibly inferior team to both Philly and Chicago. If it turns out to be a Cubs-Brewers NLCS, I'd pee my pants in excitement. And untuck my shirt.
  14. So I'm a little sad and will sometimes have retardedly detailed baseball dreams. My most recent was that the Cubs struck first with a run in the first. Dodgers tied it up in the third. Cubs ran up Lowe's pitch count, and in the 6th they finally got to him, scoring two runs and chasing him with 2 on. Relief comes in and serves up a homer (couldn't tell if it was Ramirez or Soto). Cubs tack on one more in the 8th, win the first game 7-1. :oldbluekoolaid:
  15. Sox/Twins would be the best chance for the Cubs, but the least likely outcome. I'm also opposed to this, as the worst case scenario this post-season wouldn't be a repeat of last season's sweep, but losing in the WS to the White Sox. Angels or BoSox.
  16. Wednesday night I have to work at 7pm (eastern), and will need to be out of the house around 620. I'm really not happy with my job right now. It's going to suck working all night and waiting until 5am to watch this on DVR, then repeating the process the next night. PLEASE win this game
  17. what'd he claim? Here's a little delicious irony... It's Sunday. A man named church is at the plate, and he's struck out his last 6 AB in a row. (implying the religious nature of 7, maybe?) I'm pretty sure that's all he said.
  18. Thought Church had it. Here's hoping Milwaukee takes down Philly.
  19. delicious irony? Reaching, Chip. Reaching.
  20. Endy Chavez and Damian Easley are all that stands between the Brewers and the playoffs. Make that Easley.
  21. fitting. Howry Howry'd the bed, lee ends on gidp. Let's go mets.
  22. I'd love to see CC give up the game-tying tater to lee here.
  23. Or Guzman. But hey hes a veteran Gaudin. Hart. My grandma.
  24. Bruce, if you're lurking, you know what question we want to see Lou answer. Please ask it.
  25. Make that three. Lou, PLEASE reconsider the bullpen roster.
