If the Cubs and Mets win today, there won't be a playoff tomorrow. The Mets would win the Wild Card today. Huh? Arent they tied for the WC right now? So if they both win they will have identicle records yes? Meaning they would have to play a game to decide the winner of the WC? The Brewers are the team tied with the Mets, they're the ones who need to do the same thing as them to force a playoff. Cubs win Mets win gives the Mets a 1-game lead with 0 to play.

If that's true, I'm in the minority. I like the idea of the Mets much better than the Dodgers. I also think that, whichever of Philly or LA wins the other series, it's good for the Cubs that the loser is out. ETA - If the Brewers promise they'll make it through the first round, I wouldn't be opposed to them winning the WC.

Funny, I've had the same thing all week. I'm definitely in favor of Mets the first round instead of the Dodgers though, so I wouldn't mind a win today.

Yet he's pretty good lifetime vs. CC I know this lineup should be able to touch him up pretty well. Hopefully whatever his mental block is, it goes away in the next two days.

If this one gets postponed, I hope either the Mets or Brewers tank the final three games and make this game a non-issue as well. I wouldn't mind the Cubs finishing the season with 160 games.
