  2. More like he pitched very well but got absolutely no run support. Dude. The wins column for a pitcher is the single most important stat there is. All the other numbers are good to have, but if you don't win they don't matter. wins=good pitching lack of wins=complete failure at life
  3. He's definitely been doing good work around here. I like the Major League quotes, and the way he was all over the early thread start to compensate for Relay 4 Life was just clutch. You won't find these sorts of things in the box scores, but they make all the difference. Southpaw19 has moxy coming out his ears. Plus, he's the grittiest guy i know. I know you hear it a lot, but the guy just knows how to start a game thread.
  4. My "Believe" bracelet is still laying on my dresser - wonder if I should break it out? Nah........................ Don't change a thing until the streak is over.
  5. Still in shock. Cubs don't win 7 in a row, Cubs don't comeback from being down five, and Cubs sure as hell don't win when they're down one with two out bottom 9 and *anyone* up to bat. This just doesn't happen. Two comeback walkoffs the same week. I still get giddy watching these replays. It just doesn't get old. I'm going to go back and watch the whole ninth inning on mlbtv, and I'm gonna giggle like a little girl again.
  6. Sweeeet, thanks. Bookmarked the crap out of that one.
  7. Still waiting for video to show up of that one. I love how his voice cracked for Soriano's walkoff, and I hear he did the same today. I can't wait to see it.
  8. I was killing time during the off day yesterday watching video replays of the 9th inning rally and the Sori walkoff, and I was thinking to myself that, as individual game intensity goes, that had to be as good as it would get this year. It's only second best this week. Still un-freaking-real.
  9. I can't believe no one has come back to this thread yet. Soooo... Do the Cubs stil have a chance???
  10. Ditto as well. :D thirded Sig isn't enough, so 4th'd with the desktop.
  11. Yea, hopefully you don't mind me adding that into the ol' sig. DeRosa's my favorite part there, as he was in the video replay of Sori's walkoff single back on win #4 of the streak.
  12. Pat: "...and Ramirez, greeted by all of his teammates at home plate, all 25 guys, jumping around like a bunch of 10-year-olds."
  13. The best I can do is the gameday audio archive. The crack of ARam's bat happens at 3:34:32.
  14. Just listened to Ramirez go yard. Pat and Ron definitely gave me goosebumps. I still can't believe that happened. I want to have Aramis Ramirez's babies.
  15. Listening to the archive audio now, and Fontenot just singled Sori over to third, and I'm getting giddy all over again. This will definitely never get old. I just hope Lee or Ramirez comes through here...
  16. He's definitely been doing good work around here. I like the Major League quotes, and the way he was all over the early thread start to compensate for Relay 4 Life was just clutch. You won't find these sorts of things in the box scores, but they make all the difference.
  17. cubs.com still doesn't have the video and audio replays posted, and im getting really impatient. I was stuck in class during the last four innings and could only follow via this thread, and I still nearly went through the roof. If I had been listening to Ron, my face may have exploded.
  18. Diggin the lugnuts jersey on Marshall. Good stuff. Please, Cubs, don't suck.
  19. Most certainly not always, though recently we've had more success against him. He was a notorious Cub killer for several years.
  20. well...we know where you are going to be on sunday morning Seriously. If you don't hold up your end, and the Cubs don't win the World Series, we'll know why.
  21. I'm so terribly afraid of adopting the mindset that the Cubs always have a chance to win. That just doesn't seem right.
  22. so he'll pry be thrown at tomorrow, correct? Aramis wasn't showboating. He was hopping and hoping, it least that's how I viewed it. Considering how many balls the wind has knocked down today, I don't think Aramis was 100% sure it was leaving the park. Yea, that was celebration, not showboating, though admittedly, I haven't seen it so I'm talking out my arse right now. Given the situation, unless ARam was pointing and laughing, the Brewers probably shouldn't take it as anything but a celebration following an unbelievably exciting moment.
  23. Wow, you're pathetic! Cubs win!!! evidently cubmanpi is the only one that catches this. Hey, never mess with what works.
