So I know the Cubs have still been enjoying the best record since the third of June, but I'm still firmly in the "I don't believe" camp. Starting pitching has been inconsistent from everyone except the guy who was our worst pitcher for the first two months, and this offense is not going to be anywhere near enough as is to make up for the pitching being so shaky. Everyone says if we just trade for ss/impact bat/corner OF/SP, we're on our way, but easy schedule or not, there are too many holes to keep this team from being consistent right now, and until the day that at least one impact player is signed to fill one, I don't see this season ending well.
