  1. When the Cubs singed these two guys in the winter, I thought Boyd could be good, if healthy, and didn't expect much from Kelly. Man, I was wrong. With Amaya missing so many games this year, the Cubs could've been really bad without Carson. And, he was simply amazing offensively in the first couple of months, too. BTW, I really miss Amaya. He started hitting better late last year, and he was good, until he injured. And, I don't even want to think about his 2nd injury. That was just sad moment. Hopefully, he'll come back in a few weeks. Then, we lost Steele early in the season. Without Boyd (pitching well and staying healthy) and Horton, it could've been really bad. Shota missed 6 or 7 weeks, too. I really appreciated their efforts.
  2. Tucker really sucks at Wrigley. He was great last week. Now, he came home, and went back to the same old bad Tucker.
  3. Kelly finally! I was just thinking he's been bad lately, and wanted Amaya back ASAP,
  4. Actually, Brown has been sucking for a while, or I should say for the whole season.
  5. Should I go see the Cubs game in San Francisco tomorrow? I really thought about it. I still think they will win with Shota. But, I'm so pissed now that I don't think I'm going.
  6. I was thinking about going to San Francisco to see the Cubs game tomorrow. I still think Shota could win tomorrow, but I don't think I'm going.
  7. That's just sad. Earlier in the season, they averaged about 6 runs a game.
  8. Well, Rogers just finished the inning. The 5th inning was really stressful.
  9. I think Seiya has been better than Tucker and PCA for both BA and OBP after the break. Those two just started hitting more lately. Yeah, I know Seiya hasn't been good, but I was more frustrated by Tucker and PCA. Seiya should start hitting more like Tucker and PCA.
  10. Yeah, like some people mentioned, Cade has way better chance than Matt. Cade has been really impressive in the last 7 games or so, which I didn't expect. He's the best SP for the Cubs at the moment.
  11. He's been good defensively, after he came back from Iowa. He's been also good offensively, since the all star break. I wish Craig uses him more like 99% of the games.
  12. OK, the Cubs just lost against the Giants. I really expected a win, because Boyd started. Well, that's just how it goes. I really hoped the Cubs sweep the next 6 games, which isn't easy, I understand.
  13. In the last 30 days or so, Boyd is by far the worst starting pitcher. The rest of them have been great, Shota, Horton, Rea and even Taillon in the first few games after he came back from IL and Assad in the last game. I love what Boyd has done in this season, and I didn't expected 5 ER against the Giants tonight. In Aug, his ERA is over 4. Is he just tired or what? At the moment, Horton seems to be the best, followed by Imanaga. Imanaga pitches longer innings, which is great.
