What is the Orioles 40 man roster situation? Didn't the Tejada trade give them like 3 more 40 man guys? I wonder if there is any chance we would be getting a second player along with Roberts?

I find it hard to believe that someone would advance as high as GM without being really good at something in the baseball world. Hopefully Littlefield is now doing what he excels at for us. -
Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to sign him on the cheap and let Cedeno, Theriot and he compete openly for the job and then trade one of the losers, but I'm sure that won't happen. Everett hits from the wrong side of the plate to be a Hendry target this offseason.

The Dodgers have shown a lot of interest in lefty starters this offseason and the Cubs seem dead set on a lefty outfielder. I wonder if Ethier for Marshall might not satisfy both of them. -

Would the Sox move either Cabrera or Uribe to 2B? I remember Uribe playing there in the past.

Any deal that Hendry makes from now on has to include 1-2 crappy middle IF going to the other team to clear up our surplus. Maybe sub Cedeno for Murton then? I would prefer Theriot or Infante, but I think Cedeno opens the Spring in someone else's camp. I doubt the Sox would do that now that I think about it a little more. Hmmm, I wonder what it would take to get O.Cabrera?

Maybe Kenny knows the Cubs are in the market for a SS and covets someone in particular that we have got. Might he try to turn around and flip O.Cab to us for something like Marshall+Murton? I'm not suggesting the trade by any means, just wondering what the Sox might be up to. Also I would think that this makes Santana being involved in any M.Cabrera to the Angels trade much more likely.

If the Matsui rumors are true, at least one one of Cedeno, Infante or Theriot (probably Cedeno) pretty much has to be on the way out, right?

might part of the equation for the brewers be the ability to pick kendall's brain about the cubs?

On the surface I don't care for this move, but I will wait and see what else happens. What if they wanted a replacement utility type and to free up cash for trading Theriot+Muton/Marshall+??? for a legit upgrade at SS or a stronger OF bat, or even just simply to offset whatever cash we might have to eat in dealing Marquis? I'll reserve judgement for the time being.

This also seems like it would make sense given the pending sale, in that getting a piece of the Japanese market could only help the value of the club.

Will Soriano appeal that though, or does he have to serve it immediately? I saw the Braves are getting Dotel back, but I am not sure if that helps or hurts them at this point.

I think Hall is healthy, his playing time has just steadily decreased the whole second half. Now he plays pretty much exclusively against lefties.

I strongly disagree. I think the extra tourist income that a pro sports franchise would generate here would make the gaming industry into an added police presence for "fixing". They would have too much to lose to allow a scandal to take place. Besides, how would it be any easier to fix a game in Vegas than in any other city?
