    Horn is most likely going to be out this week. I think the matchup against the bench might limit his touches. Of course, this was written a MONTH ago when Horn wasn't dealing with Hamstring issues. Wow, didn't look at the month. I didn't think that the thread might have been bumped.

    Licey.com has Pie going 1-3 with a strikeout in the first, a strikeout in the third, a single to leadoff the 6th but tagged out at second, and a sac bunt in the 8th. The box credits him with a stolen base, as well, but that looks to be a mistake. Also, Marmol pitched for Licey and threw 1/3 of the inning at the end to get the only man he faced. Valdes pitched for Azucareros. What...more research than just checking my Minor League Boxes e-mails? Boo. You're the anti-O_O

    I agree. Therefore, I'd like to see him become Arizona's. Well, in that case, let's help him get the Cardinals' job. The Cardinals don't have Conor Jackson and Carlos Quentin, therefore I would like to see him in Arizona. :)

    The only difference then would be that the Cards would have been knocked out in the NLDS as opposed to the NLCS.

    At least Macias is scrappy and can bunt lots. Plus he can sorta play 8 positions.

    Not to rain on the parade here but Murton's average is down to a pathetic .424 in the AFL. Yesterday he came up 4 times and only got a hit once. If you do the math there, that's .250. Surely that's not the sort of performance that will go over in the "show", if you know what I mean.

    Cash in addition to at the very best our 2nd round draft choice (SD will surely offer arbitration to Giles) depending on any other FA's that we may end up inking this offseason. What do you mean our very best 2nd round draft choice? They get the one that we have now. If we somehow get another 2nd round pick we hold on to that.

    I stopped caring the second that the Angels lost. I am probably cheering against the White Sox the most but I am not backing either team.

    I loved Griffey back in the day but there is no way I would want him playing for the Cubs next year. He is a walking injury. I mean seriously, he makes Kerry Wood's injury history look like a couple of little bruises. If he were to come in healthly next year, the chances he would stay healthy for the whole year a slim to none.

    You don't think that they have done this with him in the past? Do you really think that he will improve because he has a heart to heart with Dusty on what he wants to do?

    They tried to do that this year and I think that is part of the reason why he slumped so badly.

    I say we make wild card teams wear 5 pound weights on their ankles to even out the playing field a bit.
