  1. The Thunder shot three more 3's on the same amount of attempts. Really it was the turnovers and some of the easy buckets they led to that gave OKC the margin they had all game. The Pistons shot pretty well, weren't bad defensively and rebounded at a decent rate. Well I'll probably only be able to see a handful of games the rest of the year. Go Jazz and Thunder
  2. Yes the Pistons are a jump shooting team but there were a handful of drives by stuck, gordon and charlie were they got hacked with no call. On the other end there was nothing OKC didn't get called. The Pistons got a ton of penetration in the second half. Officiating wasn't the main culprit tonight, but overall they're right.
  3. Eff that. Green didn't do [expletive] all night. Ben and Stuck were money all night and Durant didn't have a great game. Just too many turnovers.
  4. Hey Ben has become a decent player again. Daye had a great preseason but he's scared to death now and can't defend or rebound anyways. The Jonas Jerebko injury was huge. Which is never a good sign.
  5. Okay...let me be the first to say that I am not for Rucker being reinstated, but comparing it to Winston is not a good comparison. Rucker has made a couple of bad decisions without a doubt, but I would have a hard time saying that he is not worth trying to do steps to get his life in order. I think Dantonio is making a mistake here, but I would rather he made a mistake for a kid like Rucker then someone who rapes and kidnaps. So you're not for it but it shouldn't be compared to the other awfu dwecision that he made? Sorry there aren't many other instances in the country of players serving such long jail terms and immediately being reinstated. Rucker tweeting that he landed in Iowa City and can't wait for tomorrow. Shocking that he'll be playing when Dantonio left the decision up to him. What a scummy program.
  6. Not sure why anyone is surprised. That's their track record. Hell, they have a worse Graduation Success Rate (55%) than all but 2 SEC teams. True. This is fairly unprecedented though. The guy spent 8 days in jail and was practicing on the very afternoon he was released. I haven't heard of something similar in even the most rogue programs. Mostly I hate how Dantonio gets this reputation as being such a classy guy who does things the right way. He always gets compared to Ferentz. I knew they had the worst grad rate in the league but didn't know they ranked that low compared to the SEC. Damn I hope we beat them tomorrow. Alrighty then... We won't tolerate them. He's not on the team while he's in jail. But the second he gets out... Good call Jon, completely forgot about Winston. Between that, the fights last year and now Rucker, he's still skating nationally. Other coaches have gotten roasted for far less.

  8. How has no one talked about Mark Dantonio trying to out-sleaze Urban Meyer? Spend 8 days in jail, get out in the morning, practice in the afternoon. Oh and leave it up to the kid to decide whether he plays or not. Great move. My real problem is he tries to come off as this "molder of men, high character, disciplinarian, blah blah blah" just like Tressel, but he's a phony.
  9. Karma for him hurting Favre.
  10. Apparently sportscenter ran a clip from Tressel two days ago whee he said they would be practicing inside because he was concerned about putting his video guys 50 feet in the air with that kind of wind.
  11. Oh come on, no one has pointed out that the first and last sentences of GR's sig are "We are Notre Dame football. Prepare to die." It's insanity that they were up there and will be interesting to see if he made his concerns known and whether he was ordered to still stay up there.
  12. The Pistons led all night but coughed it up as the Nets went on an 11-0 run in the last 2-3 minutes in a game that no one else here but me cares about.
  13. LeBron has 5 turnovers in the first quarter.
  14. As you can imagine, it's the same in New Jersey for this Pistons game.
  15. Some are saying he may be back by mid-November.
  16. Have you guys seen this?: It really makes me hate them and their stupid billionaire hillbilly.
  17. No way. That's garbage that that hack Michael Silver tried to drum up. He claims if they would have lost to the Cowboys he may have been fired after the game. I have a hard time believing he would be fired even if they go 7-9, 8-8 this year but there's no way I see it happening mid-season. The only sense in it is that they really don't want to lose Frazier. Childress is better than he gets credit for though. His drafts have been really good on average.
  18. Early season basketball is so bad.
  19. Yes but only until Monday which is lame.
  20. But I thought you guys dug yourselves in a hole you probably can't dig out of. And that was BEFORE last Sunday night Well that was the Bell's Two Hearted Ale talking.
  21. That's gotta be a misprint by ESPN. The Bucks 10th in the league? The Pistons will be mostly irrelevant, in that the ceiling is probably the 6 seed in the East. Jerebko's injury is a big blow before the season even starts. Austin Daye has been awesome in the preseason though. Having 14 guys (mostly veterans) who have been starters or key guys in competition at the 1-3 spots is going to spell disaster again. So in terms of relevant teams, go Thunder and Jazz!
  22. Such a huge game for the Vikings, I wish I actually believed they could win. If they did they're 1 game behind the Bears, presumably .5 game behind the Packers and with the Cardinals at home next week would likely get to 4-4. .500 through that stretch of the schedule would be a success, especially if you get Rice back in 2-3 weeks.
  23. I guess bang bang would be more appropriate. He was headed straight for the sidelines and his foot was two inches from touching white. Shouldn't have been called but neither should have frank walker's phantom hold. Besides your penalty prone squad was called for what like 2-3 penalties all night? Officiating was terrible all night but a total botched review is a different animal.
  24. The Shaincoe TD should of never happen, right before that Collins had a BS late hit call. The Quarless TD, it's called a challenge flag. It's why they have them. What? It's not like the late hit extended a drive or anything. It was first down regardless so there's no reason to say that play should never have happened. The penalty was a 50/50 deal anyways. Thanks for clarifying the challenge situation in the NFL I had no idea. Not like I complained about Childress on that play earlier in this thread or anything.
  25. By the way the NFL said today that Shiancoe's TD should not have been overturned. They also said if Quarless' was challenged it would have been overturned. Awesome.
