Is anyone else's TBS feed really choppy?

Someone needs to explain to me why Texas called a timeout up 2 with 12 seconds left when they got the board. And why did Brown walk the ball up with 9 seconds? They would have had time for the putback/foul if he had any urgency. Teams couldn't botch these end of game situations any more if they tried. Now I think Duke is going to roll Arizona.

Thing is, he tore his knee up last year and gained weight when he wasn't playing. He's probably at the same weight he was at the start of his senior year of HS before the injury. Well that explains it a little bit. I've always had a hard time wondering how high D-1 or NBA guys are that overweight while playing basketball and running that much unless they're eating total junk all the time.

I really wish he was 6-10 Yeah I don't know what to make of him in the NBA. Don't know if anyone here knows Jon Rothstein who is horrible as the college basketball expert on CBS College Sports and apparently does radio stuff in NY. Anyways he said that Williams "is a combination of Amare Stoudamire and Michael Beasley" tonight on twitter. Yep.

You realize that Tressell and Ferentz (and others I'm sure) both publicly said they practiced inside because they were afraid to put video crew up in the towers right? They would probably like to preach toughness and stay outside for the team to practice in it also, but they weren't completely negligent.

I remember hearing that teams were thinking about practicing inside that day because of the forecast for high winds. Beautiful day my ass. What an [expletive]. Tressell and Ferentz both moved practice inside that day because of the wind. He didn't really say that though, did he? Wasn't the kid that died putting up facebook updates or tweets well before practice saying that he was scared of going up there?

I'm going with the "I hate my picks before, during, and after I make them, so I'm not changing them now" philosophy. And I'm picking Texas to beat Duke and Purdue to the Final 4. Yeah I hear you. Don't know why I'm going back and forth so much when it's so random. I really wish there was someone I liked at the bottom of the West and Southeast. Right now I have the 2 seeds (Florida and SDSU) getting to the Elite 8 by default. I hate that KU and OSU the two teams I'm most confident in are in the same region with like 7 other teams that I would pick to the Final 4 if they were in the SE or W instead.

I told you fools on Dec. 29th 2009 (at Iowa, his first B1G game) that Kelsey Barlow was a total punk. I'm glad to see he lived up to my expectations.

You guys making radical changes to your sheet based on the Irving info? I wasn't sold on Texas originally because I think Oakland and Arizona could take them down early, so this makes me feel more comfortable with Duke. The bottom half of each region is messing me up. I could easily see each of the 2 seeds getting bounced in their second game this year and I don't like any of the 3's to get to the Final 4.

Yeah that would really suck. That's one of the only jobs I can think of where there would be mutual interest in and for McCaffery.

I disagree, I think it's the way it should be done, really. I'd much rather see a team that accomplished more during the regular season, even with dubious talent (Harvard) get a bid than a team that accomplished much less during the season, but would possibly be a better team (USC). Granted, it gets a little odd seeding straight by talent, but in reality, for tournament seeding, it'd be the most balanced if it were sorted by quality of team, and not so much accomplishment during the year. And yes, I realize it tosses Illinois way out to a 5 seed, as they're one of the outliers that performs exceedingly well, many blowouts, but is terrible at closing out close games. Call it luck, call it poor offensive strategy, but they have one of the biggest discrepancies between ability and accomplishment of anyone in the NCAA (Maryland is probably the biggest overall). I just don't understand why you would distinguish the two. I absolutely agree that the Harvard should get a bid over the USC, but why would you not apply the same logic to seeding? There's no need for separate criteria. I agree with you. I've seen Gasaway argue for it before and I think it's terrible.

Yeah got down to Iowa and OSU, a lot of people thought he was leaning Iowa. Says he thought Okie State was further along and he liked coming in with a top 5 player.

Wasn't Tubby close to being hired somewhere else at this exact time last year? Yeah I don't know how far it got but I think a national outlet (maybe Fox sports) was saying he would take the Auburn job.
