  1. When he was at Louisville I really thought Brohm had the potential to be a good NFL QB. It's just so hard to evaluate QB's, especially in some offenses. And I really hate how impressed I've been of Rodgers.
  2. Sage started tonight, Tarvaris is starting next week and whoever starts game 3 will probably be the guy. Sage looked good, Tarvaris looked terrible. Rosenfels' throws were all in good spots, made good decisions and looked comfortable going through his progression. Tarvaris honestly looked as bad as he ever has. Completely opposite from the guy that closed the year and even worse than he was in the playoff game.
  3. Tiger and Paddy could end up playing 5 straight rounds together if they keep this up. I love it.
  4. Where? He's practiced against 2 of the best d-tackles in the league quite a bit and from all reports he's held his own. Everyone seems to say his understanding is off the charts and physicality is the only question. Seifert on the radio. Also mentioned that Pat Williams didn't seemed too enthused about him. That may be he hasn't written anything like that on his blog and it goes against the article he just linked two days ago: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfcnorth/0-13-70/Black-and-Blue-all-over--Barnett-antsy.html Pat probably did have some trash talk but he was also talking about how quick he was and can't be baited into anything. I have no idea how good he'll be, I just hadn't been reading or hearing any of these negatives and I follow it about as closely as anyone.
  5. Agreed. It's similar to comparing lineups position by position. Just discussion to have during preseason.

  7. I think Trammel could be a legit option and I think I would like him.
  8. I was upset the day the Bears got Olsen in the draft, but then a lot of the stud physical specimen TE's who were productive in college didn't pan out. He could make a huge jump this year. NFC North will be a battle. How would you rank the position groups in the division offensively? QB 1. Bears 2. Packers 3. Vikings 4. Lions (could be RB 1. Vikings 2. Bears 3. Packers 4. Lions but could move up to 3 OL 1. Vikings 2. Packers 3. Bears could move up to 2 if Pace stays healthy and Williams is legit 4. Lions WR 1. Packers 2. Lions just because of Calvin. 3. Vikings could jump the Lions as a group if Harvin is as advertised 4. Bears TE 1. Bears 2. Vikings 3. Lions 4. Packers Defensively as a whole: 1. Vikings 2. Bears 3. Packers 4. Lions Vikings have the best DL, Packers have the best secondary. Every team has a good linebacking group and really it's pretty tough to rank as a unit. Packers throw a wrinkle into things with the 3-4.
  9. The last 4 times Tiger has led a major after the first day, he's gone on to win.
  10. Not able to watch it but from what I've been following it appears his irons are almost perfect but his putting isn't quite where he was last week. He's hit 12/14 fairways.
  11. And Percy Harvin.
  12. Theriot Bradley Lee Fox Fukudome Soriano Baker Hill
  13. It's pretty crazy but that's how it's worked out. OSU just always ends up in other BCS bowls and the Orange Bowl chose Iowa in '02 before the Rose could pick. Michigan, Purdue and Wisconsin all have new coaches in the last 3 years but went under their last coach.
  14. That's amazing. Something you'd know if you thought about it, but never realized it. Also, perhaps I'm being dumb and forgetting something else I know, but which coach has a rival logo tattoo? Bielema. Has a Tigerhawk tattooed on his ankle from his days playing (then later coaching) at Iowa.
  15. 182 yard 8-iron within 6 inches. It's just ridiculous. I've also been impressed with the way Tiger stuck up for Paddy after they were put on the clock Sunday and called out the officials for affecting the outcome. They were the only two in contention, it was extremely entertaining and they finished 3 minutes after 6:00. It was completely unnecessary in that situation and the officials should have known better. They were showing video of the shot he hit out of the bunker in the morning at Hazeltine in 2002. That was the most ridiculous golf shot ever hit. I remember watching it absolutely dumbfounded. Even the man himself said it was the best shot of his career. Searched youtube, unfortunately couldn't find it. The 8 iron was great, but people on TGC are saying top 5? I don't think so. I can think of at least 5 better Tiger shots off the top of my head. Would love to see the video if you can find it. The thing that made the 8 iron extra impressive was that no one was able to hold that green. Guys were hitting wedges and bouncing them off the back. Then he steps up from 182 away with water in front so he had to carry it a touch over 175 AND get it to stick on a green that wasn't holding anything.

He's gonna get fined for that too. But I wouldn't be surprised if it leads to a rule change. I think the rules are fine, they just need to use some discretion. Slow play is an issue at times but this was the last group on Sunday and the only two guys in contention.

  18. He's putting out of his mind even for his standards, and his irons were just dialed in this weekend. Truly the only thing missing between him and a completely dominating victory is his driver. That's probably what will keep it close this weekend but yeah I really think he'll win.
  19. Almost certainly. Drop the charges, let it quiet down and avoid a civil suit with a nice settlement.
  20. With the addition of the 12th game, most teams play at least one lower level D-1 school and one 1-AA school. The Big Ten is at least average or better in terms of non-conference scheduling.
  21. Well it also wouldn't hurt or cost anything for you to write Jessica Alba and ask her to go out with you. So why not go for it?
  22. A guy Rece Davis really liked when he was at Auburn. 7th round pick a few years ago, got a handful of receptions with the Colts a couple years ago.
  23. Caller brought up the topic and they just said that he's not useful in the NL because of defense so it wouldn't be bad to trade him for a reliever. No rumors of a possible deal including Fox.
