    Here's a pretty good description... the Rockets were pretty clutch in '94 and '95. Ha, ha. I was joking about the Rockets being good in the mid-90's. That was over 10 years ago, and the city takes it nickname from it? Its never a good idea to give yourself a nickname. What does that make Chicago, with the Bulls winning 6 titles in 8 years?

His W-L was 3-5 in April/May 2005, his ERA was 3.71 (a 3.71 ERA would have been good enough to be in the top 20 starters in the NL in 2005) Through the end of May 2005 Pettitte allowed 26 ER in 63 IP Through the end of May 2006 Pettitte has allowed 45 ER in 71-2/3 IP If a 3.71 "wasn't very good", what exactly do you call a 5.65? BTW 1st half generally refers to pre ASB, Pettitte had a 6-7 record at the ASB break with an ERA of 3.09 NSBB is the only place where one can read a Cardianl fan evisorate the argument of an Astros fan on a Cubs board.     What makes Houston "Clutch City"? They don't seem very clutch to me, the Rockets were very good in the mid-'90's but other than that, not so much.

    Does this mean Hendry is ending his good clubhouse chemistry team he put together last season? Nevin is a unapologetic jerk and that surely will cause the Cubs to lose more games.

    those numbers have declined every year since 2003. he is on pace for career lows in his hitting rate stats. he is also on pace for a career high in strikeouts. he is mediocre, and if he continues playing like this, he is awful. As I said, easy to complain now instead of seeing what happens. Pierre's starting to get his stroke back though. Maybe so, but it still doesn't cover for his terribly pathetic first 2 months.

    That's my thinking too. Nope. When a player wins, he gets to chose. I still think Barrett should drop the appeal if it isn't heard and serve it vs. AL Central teams from June 16-25. That's not correct.
