  1. Quite a bit of it is in HD as well. I'm pumped about that. Tough start for your boys today. Plenty of time to equalize though.
  2. Bruce- Thanks for the lineups. Do you find your job to be harder this time of the year when its obvious the team is playing out the string? Is it not as enjoyable as it usual is earlier in the year?
  3. Chelsea won 2-1 over Charlton. I'm getting pumped for the Champions League action which starts on Tuesday.
  4. Frank Thomas has turned many doubles into singles this season.
  5. Nice seeing abuck's old friend, CubfaninCA posting on BCB.
  6. great outing for Hill. Cedeno continues to look horrible. I'm very happy for Derrek Lee, he makes it much easier to root for this pathetic bunch.
  7. Poor Chelski, they can't handle the fact that a top class defender just doesn't want to play for them anymore, so they come out in the british press and sensationalize their ex defender to make up for the fact that their season ticket holders are critical (as well they should be) of the move of one of the best defenders in World football for Cashley Cole. Gallas has already called this story a load of bunk and now the French coach has come out to defend Gallas. He has his own axe to grind, however, because Chelski won't release Makalelei to play in qualifiers for Euro 2008. Such are the dramas of the greatest show on earth, the EPL no doubt about the drama. are you excited about the Hammer's big week? Yep, I've got the alarm set for Sunday at 7am. Ive got a six pack of Newcastle and my sirius radio to listen to the game against Villa, and "I'm forever Blowing Bubbles" for the first goal. I honestly hope (but doubt) that the Hammers will be able to keep one or both of them past this season, but it's so nice to see em try and do something. I really think that once these two get adjusted to the Prem, they may price themselves out of West Ham's range due to their performance. If they get priced out, then turn and transfer them to Chelsea, Madrid, Barca, whomever. Maybe a nice profit on the transfer market, re-invest the money in some cheap, young players and they could be in decent shape the next few seasons. Its a win-win.

  9. use this link "The Reverse Pennant Race"
  10. you should have your choice of tickets from the looks of things the past few days. cardinal, white sox, and some interleague series are the hottest tickets.
  11. Here's some more drama from the premiership. Former Chelsea player William Gallas, recently transferred to Arsenal with Ashley Cole heading to Chelsea, reportedly told Chelsea if he wasn't transferred he would score an own goal in the season opener against Manchester City.
  12. misplay by Jones, but at least he threw it back in to the cutoff man.
  13. Dusty McBunt ordering one in the bottom of the 1st when down by 2 runs. Nevermind its actually one of the better hits for the past few weeks.
  14. Wow. There are a ton of empty seats in the bleachers. I can't remember the last time it was that empty. It will fill-in over the next few innings, but its still amazing.
  15. I'm betting he won't miss a start and throw 110+ pitches his next time out.
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2572412 heart value defect
  17. how many of those were 2 or 3 run saves that he turned into a 1 run save?
  18. terrible pick at the time, not at all surprised or saddened by this move. Hopefully Alex Brown is healthy by next Sunday.
  19. I really like Ray Durham for a 1 or at worst 2 year deal.
  20. Of course, the Cubs have been losing picks because of aggressive free agent signings, now they might actually benefit from the rule and it get changed.
  21. I agree. The 2001 team was a lot of fun to watch. It was excruitating to see them fade in August and September because the first four months of the season were so magical. I know somebody posted the link to the youtube clip with the most amazing ending to a baseball game I have ever seen. Guitierrez was running the bases like a chicken with its head cut off and Chip Caray was going ape in the broadcast booth. Good times.
