Posted this in the Game Thread but Comcast says Mateo is supposed to start Thursday, unless he's used in the bullpen tonight or tomorrow. Guzman will be the guy if he's used out of the pen. -
Then they just said Mateo is scheduled to start Thursday unless he is used out of the bullpen in tonight's or tomorrow's game.

Comcast is doing a piece about Izturis arriving and they quoted Dusty as saying Cedeno will get a few days off to adjust to playing 2B.

Yeah, I was shocked when I read that yesterday. Then a little more shocked when I read that Mateo had been promoted. So Mateo is not "semi-ready"? Then, what is he? Not ready?

Nope, he was never rostered to my knowledge. Well he was rostered at the beginning of the season because he was up with the big club. He was DFA'd to take him off the 40 man and wasn't claimed.

Is there a serious analyst out there not panning Hendry for this deal? The writers for the Trib? Oh wait, serious analyst.

Maddux accepts arby from the Braves when they offered it heading into the 2003 season. From what it sounded like, the Braves were in it for the picks and got Maddux for a lot of money on the wrong side of his career.

I think Hendry views Nevin as the 1st basemen of this team until Lee returns from injury or until the season is over. With Walker gone, and Nevin moved, that would leave Mabry to start everyday. -
I don't know how the rotation falls right now other than Prior pitching tonight but Hendry did say that Rusch would be ready for Thursday's game but he also mentioned that somebody would be called up for tomorrow's game to start.
